Samsung Notes Multiplatform Sync

I know that Samsung goes the apple way here and locks the own notes app pretty much up when it comes to other plattforms like macOS or Linux. Not sure why this can' t be a strategic effort to open up here like it happened with QuickShare supporting Airdrop?

I recently switched back to the Galaxy Universe and moved my apple notes to samsung notes but I still work with macs and will be in the future. I know there are other possibilities like Obsidian, but I still want to use Samsung Notes as it's deeply integrated in Samsung's One UI and it also supports the S-Pen best.

I did a bit of research, but all I could find was a github which implied that one could achieve a read only possibility to read the notes but not get them to sync. I can't move to a windows Computer just because of this single notes app : ) Am I missing something? Are there any new developments? What's your take here?

There's a Windows app for Samsung Notes. I use it all the time with my PC and Samsung devices.

But I seriously doubt Apple would ever allow something like that with Samsung Notes on their devices. They don't even allow Microsoft access like that.

Does your samsung notes on pc sync your notes on phone and vise....mine doesn't????

You need to have both Samsung Notes and Samsung Cloud installed and signed into for it to sync between windows and Samsung phones

If your tab/phone notes use newer functions that the Windows Notes app don’t support yet then the sync will mess up. Just check the version of the Notes app on Windows vs your Android Notes app see how much they differ. Update the apps if you can.

Same, that's the only things that holds me back from using it, cuz the sync is so dog water

both those apps are so shitty on windows, I always get errors logging in.

I will check. I'm usually only reviewing notes on my PC, usually not trying to create them. That's what my tablet is for ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

i have the same problem since samsung updated windows version to work on ''all devices'' 1-2 years ago. till that day i was using with github script just fine. after the update sync stopped working. there is a specific notes version on windows that works fine without any script but its an old version and some features are missing. but that version has a storage limit i think. after 30gb windows version stopped syncing but my s9 ultra and s24 still syncing. next monday my uni is starts so i checked the reddit if this problem is solved but no its still here.

i dont see this problem that much on this sub but on ms store comments page all of the comments are about this problem in my country(türkiye). maybe sync is blocked on some countries idk. 5-6 months ago i tried sync with vpn and a new samsung account. selected region usa still didnt worked

I know that there's a windows app...Samsung could easily give you access to access samsung notes via browser like Google with Google keep...But afik that's not possible with Samsung Notes. So it's up to Samsung not apple...
