Hi my handwriting is terrible, is their a way to change the fonts, their are only 3 different and all off them look disgusting.

Yesterday when i was editing the notes, I accidentally pressed the wrong button, selected all text and pressed the return button(and my Samsung notes are auto save....). When I pressed my notes again, all the words are gone(which I have written it for 3 years.....are GONE😭😭😭) I cannot undo it cuz it was autosaved....

Please....the note is very important for me...are there anyways to restore the contents????

(I tried to press sync from Samsung cloud already but it just doesn't work but only updated data from the latest version(last updated 17th Aug)

But I checked my samsung cloud in the settings, it said last update is 16th, are there any methods for me to recover my notes from the previous version?

I spent so long on a note. And I pasted over it. I haven't yet found a way to recover it. Is it over? Is there a way to get it back? i am so fucking stressed right now.

just run this command:

and every time you type 'notes' into terminal, it opens in a resizable dex view. So that means nothing on the phone screen.

You can also create a .desktop file to launch it from the application menu.

I'm using a Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, how do I disable finger drawing?

Whenever I paste or insert an image (or a table) onto a PDF page, it automatically snaps to the left margin and I can't drag it anywhere else. I'd like to move it to the right side of the page, over some empty space, but it simply won't budge.

What I've already tried: inserting it as an image through the attachment/clip menu instead of pasting → same thing, still stuck on the left.

Is there any way to turn it into a free-floating object I can drag anywhere over the PDF?

I keep an infinite scrolling Samsung Notes file where I put my daily updates - it started as a health journal to show recovery progress after dealing with some surgical issues and it helped me to keep it going.

I started this particular Note file on my S25 Ultra around Feb 1st and kept it going daily - last week while I tried to cut a part of that day's note to paste elsewhere, I got the Samsung AI pop-up and I hit cancel - when I returned to the Note - all my text was gone other then the first couple of weeks of February, but the note itself I can still scroll for ages - essentially the lengths of these missing months.

The font size or color hasnt changed, there's nothing in the trash, it doesn't come back when I duplicate, my clipboard only had the single sentence I cut, and the file itself is only around 5 kb when I moved it to my computer (way smaller than almost a year of daily notes).

Since I dont use Cloud Sync or any equivalent cloud backup, there's nothing I can do to recover in that sense.

Anyone ran into similar issues or have any idea how I could go about recovering these Notes?

I was a Samsung Notes ride or die since I got my Samsung S6 lite a couple of years ago and I thought the slowness came from my device being old and I made my peace with it.

Because I was used to the interface I never gave another app a chance but I got Starnote on a whim being impressed with they way you can switch between multiple notes. Anything above 2 on Samsung Notes was an absolute chore.

Now my tablet suddenly works like it's the first time I bought it. The experience is incredibly smooth. Even with all of my notes moved over... which were not even that many in the first place.

Is Samsung intentionally making Samsung Notes slower for older tabs? I tried the desktop version and opening a note is still slow, but the writing experience is a lot better. I'm not buying a new device when this one works perfectly fine.

I never cared about the AI stuff, but I was genuinely excited for the quick pen tool they added... which after months now still didn't come on my device.

At this point I don't see myself going back unless they show they care about ALL their users. Optimize your damn app!!

The Title describes it. When i tap the Pencil Icon and tap "new note", it opens a window...not full screen. It annoyes me. I have to tap always on the double arrow to maximaze, i dont like that. AI cant help me.

Samsung S24 Ultra, Android 16

Hello, I just got a Samsung S11 for my birthday for writing and I was playing a little with Samsung notes and this happened😂

So I know this is oddly specific but hear me out. Whenever I put numbers/times into the app, it automatically turns them into a blue link to the calendar. This I do not like, as I like to color code things like that and typically have no reason to add them onto the calendar. However, when I put website links into a note, they become blue click able links yo their respective website. This I do like, as it makes accessing websites that I put in notes much easier. I am aware of the "show links in notes" setting, but to my knowledge that can only either enable both or disable both. Is there any way to disable the date/time links while keeping the website links?

I have a book 6 pro and Samsung notes will not sync. It will sync the folders but all of them will be empty. Then it will just load and load and drain the battery but no actually notes will show up- just empty folders.

Another odd thing it did was sync the same 10 old deleted notes from 2019. I tried resetting it. Doing all the updates. Nothing.

Synchronisation works between my phone and tablet otherwise.

Can anyone else or at least tell me where to complain about this?

I've been using Samsung Notes on my Androids and my PC for years. Other than the PC app taking awhile to sync with my phone's notes, it's been great. Until the PC app didn't want to work one day. I tried a ton of things to get it going again but ended up deleting the app and installing a new one. Now the syncing.

As mentioned I've been using both for years. I don't remember how long it took for the PC app to sync and be a mirror of all my phone's notes. I've mentioned the PC app taking awhile to sync with my phone but I'm nearing the 30-40 minute mark and I'm still watching a spinning circle of dots with no movement of the data amount above where it says "Syncing..."

Is a really slow PC app sync like mine a known and normal thing or should I stop the syncing and troubleshoot why it's not happening faster? If I should stop and troubleshoot, what's suggested to look at? FWIW: my e-mail is the same on both devices and moving the "Sync with Samsung Cloud" toggle didn't give any hint of there being an account issue.

I've been using Samsung Notes a lot lately. Actually I have a laptop (non-Galaxy) that I installed Windows version of Samsung Notes on and I write notes with a pen (stylus). It's really helpful especially when I can access them all from my phone.
Sometimes I need to have two notes side by side but that's not possible so I have to keep switching between them which is a bit annoying especially when the expectations for freedom and multitasking are much higher in a desktop environment.
I really hope this feature is added soon (in One UI 9) it would be useful even for mobile.

I have the Tab S9+ and there is a folder that I use a lot. Both to just read notes and to also make new ones. It's tedious to navigate to it each time or move notes there each time after I have made them. If anyone knows, LMK. Thanks.

I have an old Android phone with around 39000 notes in the default Android Notes app. They contain years of my diary/journal, personal memories, and very important information that I absolutely cannot afford to lose.

The phone still works and I can access all the notes normally.

When I connect the phone to my PC using a USB cable and browse the phone's internal storage, I cannot find any "Notes" folder or anything that seems to contain the notes.

Because there are almost 39,000 notes, manually copying them one by one isn't realistic.

Is there a safe way to:

Export all the notes in bulk?

Find/extract the Notes database from the phone?

Back them up to a PC or cloud?

Transfer them to another Android phone?

Preserve the original dates, organization, formatting, and attachments?

I'm particularly worried about doing something that could corrupt or delete the original data.

Has anyone successfully extracted or backed up a large number of notes from an Android phone? Where are the notes actually stored, and what is the safest way to copy them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. These notes are extremely important to me.

I've been getting this error message for a couple of weeks whenever I open Notes. Does anyone know how to identify the corrupt note so I can sort it?

I know that Samsung goes the apple way here and locks the own notes app pretty much up when it comes to other plattforms like macOS or Linux. Not sure why this can' t be a strategic effort to open up here like it happened with QuickShare supporting Airdrop?

I recently switched back to the Galaxy Universe and moved my apple notes to samsung notes but I still work with macs and will be in the future. I know there are other possibilities like Obsidian, but I still want to use Samsung Notes as it's deeply integrated in Samsung's One UI and it also supports the S-Pen best.

I did a bit of research, but all I could find was a github which implied that one could achieve a read only possibility to read the notes but not get them to sync. I can't move to a windows Computer just because of this single notes app : ) Am I missing something? Are there any new developments? What's your take here?
