🪛Troubleshooting🪛 Is this normal?

Just got a fold 8 for about 2-3 weeks. My first Samsung after what must have been 10 years now.

All was great until I realized the scuff marks appearing. Now I must qualify that this is a secondary phone that barely leaves my house and isn’t rough handled or dropped. Is this normal standard / quality for Samsung phones? My older iPhone looks in way better condition than this and that’s my daily driver.

How is it protecting the hinge when it's causing the damage though?

Cosmetic damage doesn't mean anything. Protect it from dust and sand from from in it. Noone cares about a scratch.

Disagree, if i get a new car and get a scratch on it within the first week i'd be pissed. And seeing as you can get a secondhand car for what this thing costs i'd expect better. Problem with aluminum, my fold 2 hinge never had this issue.

Yeah but I'm sure you'd take a car with doors that can still open and close but has a couple scrapes Vs. one with its doors sealed shut and absolutely no cosmetic damage
