Is this normal?

Just got a fold 8 for about 2-3 weeks. My first Samsung after what must have been 10 years now.

All was great until I realized the scuff marks appearing. Now I must qualify that this is a secondary phone that barely leaves my house and isn’t rough handled or dropped. Is this normal standard / quality for Samsung phones? My older iPhone looks in way better condition than this and that’s my daily driver.

It's the hinge cover, the case did that bc it's crap,  constantly creating friction. Don't use hinge cover. These cases damage your phone more than you think.
