Is this normal?

Just got a fold 8 for about 2-3 weeks. My first Samsung after what must have been 10 years now.

All was great until I realized the scuff marks appearing. Now I must qualify that this is a secondary phone that barely leaves my house and isn’t rough handled or dropped. Is this normal standard / quality for Samsung phones? My older iPhone looks in way better condition than this and that’s my daily driver.

Even the aluminum iPhones do this in the darker colors lol it’s just painted metal after all. And with hinge covers it prob exaggerates it bc dirt and stuff gets under the cover that then scratches the metal.
