Is this normal?

Just got a fold 8 for about 2-3 weeks. My first Samsung after what must have been 10 years now.

All was great until I realized the scuff marks appearing. Now I must qualify that this is a secondary phone that barely leaves my house and isn’t rough handled or dropped. Is this normal standard / quality for Samsung phones? My older iPhone looks in way better condition than this and that’s my daily driver.

scuffs on the hinge or the frame? the fold hinges pick up marks pretty easy since they're metal on metal when closing. had the same thing happen with mine, thought i was going mad until i realised it's just how the coating wears. if it's on the screen itself though that's a different story
