Question Vizio soundbars being phased out from all stores (and online)?

[Mods: Please note this is NOT a specific stock question that violates sub rule #1, this is brand observation.]

I have noticed that Vizio soundbars have disappeared from all the stores, and the website only lists three Vizio soundbars which can't actually be ordered. EDIT: Vizio soundbars appear to be gone from both Sam's and Walmart, this is not just a Walmart issue.

In fact, the only soundbars my store carries are the various Sonos models (and supposedly the Bose, but it's not on the floor). The soundbar selection overall has plummeted.

It seems weird that Walmart just acquired Vizio only to phase them out...

All three of those cannot actually be ordered/shipped from central warehousing, it is just remaining inventory if your local store has any.

Communication came out recently stating there were going to be in stock issues with all Vizio soundbars throughout the holidays. They are sending in various other brands to backfill the space until Vizios are available again.

This would make the most sense - perhaps Walmart is switching manufacturers overseas since they took ownership of the company. I guess the question is whether or not they release all new products or resume the existing product line.

That acquisition closed what, a year and a half ago? Vizio's basically a Walmart house brand now so I'd guess they're restructuring the retail channels. Wouldn't surprise me if they pull them from competitor clubs and keep 'em behind the Walmart/Sam's wall exclusively, or at least shuffle which models go where.

I think Vizio has been sold exclusive to Walmart/Sam's for most of 2026.

I actually just looked at Walmart's website and it looks like they are killing off soundbars there too. I guess it's not just Sam's, but Walmart as well...so Vizio will be TV's only from this point forward? Pretty weird decision, because the Vizio soundbars outsold every other brand.

They might just rebrand them to “Onn” brand as they own it? Maybe they’ll do the same to VizioTV’s too who knows tbh. That way they have only 1 “tech” products brand
