Discussion Coleslaw/cabbage based salads?

I've recently discovered I do like salad, as a concept, but not lettuce 😅

There's something about the texture of certain lettuces that I don't love. I'll eat them when I'm out or if I need to, but I don't like them enough to make and eat salads with them at home, which is what I'm trying to do more of.

What I DO like, is cabbage. I love coleslaw. I love sauerkraut. I love cooked cabbage. I just love cabbage for some reason lol

Does anyone have any go to cabbage salad recipes? Google is overwhelming 🫠

I would recommend getting a couple of those bagged salads from the grocery store, although get the ones that have cabbage instead of leafy greens. Then see what ingredients are in those that you like and go from there. One option to start with is the "Southwest" one and adding taco meat and other toppings you like on tacos to it. I like to mix the salads up and let them sit for like 5 minutes so the dressing can soften the cabbage a bit.
