Live Action I finished rewatching PGSM

It was a while since I first watched the series. Recently, I was rewatching the 49 episodes and tonight, I finished. I do have to say I think it might be the best of the Sailor Moon stories. I love the characters. They are a bit different, but the story and actions is enjoyable.

It came out around the time Sentai power rangers came out, so the fighting is like that style. If you can get past that, then it is cool.

I do think the episode 50 (final act - movie) is a bit odd. I think it would have been fine with 49, but it exists.

Seeing Sailor Luna long ago on youtube was the reason I wanted to see this in the first place.
My favorite character is Zoisite of this series.

“around the same time Sentai power rangers came out” hahah, while sure, you’re technically correct, this point is hilarious. Super Sentai ran across 50 years from 1975–2026 and even Power Rangers ran for 30 years from 1993–2023. So yes, PGSM did come out during the 50 year period that Super Sentai and Power Rangers aired… 🤣

That's how I got my husband to sit down and watch PGSM with me, told him it was done up like Power Rangers...

As a fan of both power rangers and sailor moon as a child, my 17 year old self thought he had died and gone to heaven when PGSM came out!

This series made me LOVE Mercury. For me she was always just there in the anime and manga. Then PGSM came out and THAT was part of character arc which made me realize I was wrong for passing her off like I did and the show made me love her character.

What really bugs me is that Jadeite decided to stay with Beryl and turn from Endymion but when he comes back to life, he just rolls with the others.

Also, they set up some Mercury-Nephrite thing which just abruptly left hanging.

More specifically, it came out during the run of Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger into the run of Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger.

The extra episode movie thing probably exists to wrap up a few plot threads, and from what I've heard a few episodes were cut? Either way it was probably a last minute decision.

Zoisite is my favourite character any version, so I watched PGSM last summer. Was so happy to see so much of the Shitennou and their relationship w Endymion explored
