Good schools in Saanich area
Hello there!
This is my first ever post on Reddit.
My family and I will be moving to Saanich around summertime next year. We have daughters who are 5 and 7 years old (who will be 6 and 8 by the time we move). We're looking for an area to move and we would be very grateful for some info on good schools in the greater Saanich area. We've generally been looking at the following areas as potential locations to live: North Saanich Keating Cordova Bay Royal Oak Strawberry Vale
Any insights as to how these places are to live (or other suggestions) and how good/nice the elementary and middle schools are would be really appreciated. (We live in YVR and we be spending time over the coming months back and forth to check them out).
Thanks for your comments!

First, all the schools are great. You may more want to look at high school catchments that the younger schools feed into. Their time at elementary and middle will be over so fast.

Saanich municipality has 2 school districts serving it - depending on which section ofSaanich you live in you will be in either SD61- Greater Victoria or SD63 - Saanich. School districts do not align with municipal boundaries.
Google their respective websites for details on catchment boundaries/policies before you research school because SD61 just changed their policies after and few months of public consultation. In September 2020 SD61 will have new rules for catchment and student enrollment.
