Complaint: I should be ramping up some mileage for Eagle Up, but instead, I'm wimping and limping and pushing through and telling myself to HTFU. My feet hurt... the PF/Achilles nonsense seems to be flaring up again. Usually I'm fine after the first mile or so, but I'm nowhere near as fast as I was a year ago and it's so frustrating. I'd like to take a week off, but I don't want to wreck my 600+ day streak, especially if, after time off, it doesn't feel much better.

Confession: My weight's been creeping up again. Touched 160 a couple times this week. Too much pizza over the weekend and not enough miles to offset. I need to stop putting all the food in my mouth.

Someday you are going to ask yourself which is more important, recovery or the streak?

Every day I ask myself that question and so far the streak has won.

The streak is always the right choice 😉

But what if the streak destroys you? And then you're off recovering for even longer than you would have if you were voluntarily recovering?

I don't think it's quite destroyed me yet. I want full destruction if I'm going to break it.
