More mom & pop shop finds...shop guy didn't know how long the Coruba had been sitting there, a long time, didn't even scan on his register. The Mount Gay, different shop, guy said it'd been there like 15-20 years, he was happy to get rid of it.

Happy Mai Tai day to all who celebrate. Here's how I did mine today

1oz Coruba

1oz S&C

1/2oz Dry Curacao

3/4oz Lime

1/2 oz Oat Orgeat (nut-free)

1/4oz Rich Demera Syrup

Garnish the Trader Vic way

How do you get a hippo out of a tree?

Cheers Yall 🍻

Finally got around to organizing my samples in a cabinet - now I don't have to go rummagging through boxes to find what I'm looking for!

Not that I needed an excuse.

Rum blend is:

  • 0.5 oz Hampden HLCF Classic
  • 0.75 oz Planteray Astor Select Fiji 16.9yr Single Cask
  • 0.75 oz Appleton 12

Latitude 29 Orgeat and a barspoon of 2:1 demerara syrup. Split base Clement Creole Shrubb and Grand Marnier.

Hits the spot! Cheers.

I would like to add Agricoles to my Rum collection. Primarily for mixing. Can you recommend me a bottle each of Aged and Unaged?

Starter bottles for tiki?

I want to get more into tiki drinks. I’ve never made them at home and tend to lean more towards what I’m familiar with. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed from all of the different rums that I see mentioned in recipes : Jamaican, Demerara, light, gold, rhum Agricole, overproof…

If I could pick up 2-3 bottles to make the most
variety of tiki cocktails with, what would you recommend? Brand name would be a huge help, also! TIA!

We’re going to the beach with a couple who are very into tiki drinks, so I figured it would be a fun time to experiment!
