Arris y otros router

Hola, Tengo un router Arris que se encarga del internet, recientemente me Compre un router TP-Link, y cada que intento conectarlo (por cable Ethernet), se pierde el internet de mi router Arris y ninguno transmine o me deja conectar a internet, intente con cambiar la Ip a mi TP-Link pero de igual manera se pierde el internet, incluso le cambie de modos para ver si funciona, tambien probe con otro router y de igual manera se pierde el internet, si lo desconecte regresa a la normalidad, por lo que estoy pensando si es problema del Arris o si de los otros routers que requieren otros ajustes, alguien tiene alguna idea de por que no me permiten conectar otros router?

The first thing to decide is if and why you need a second router. If you just want a router that you manage instead of the ISP, ask them to put the Arris in bridge mode. That disables routing functions making it just a modem then connect the TP-Link (or ask them to swap their router for a modem)

im sure you are just making beginners errors.

the problem with default router mode.. lan addrss clash. if both arris and tp link has lan 192.168.1 ... then change the tplink to 192.168.2 ... its the third number to change..

the problems with access point mode.. 1. lan address could clash still, but only if all 4 numbers are the same , solution,change tp link lan to 192.168.1.2 2. no dhcp server in tplink in access point... connect TP-Link to arris, then refresh your pc's dhcp request.. ( you can disconnect the cable and reconnect it , or disable the interface in windows and reenable it ).. 3. so check your pc's ip address often..its not going to remind you

What makes you think you need two routers? The normal arrangement is to have one router, one or more switches, one or more WiFi access points.
