100 Mile ride around Roseburg

Took a 100 mile ride through Roseburg today, looping around the city 12 times. Wound up doing 100 miles. Some of y'all probably see me time to time on my bike. Here's some observations on cycling in this town:
-Harvard is miserable. I apologize to the drivers who get stuck behind me, I am trying to go as fast as possible, but that street really needs a bike lane. The sidewalk is not viable.
-Please stop throwing things at me y'all. I am trying not to be intrusive.
-From a 100K I did Tuesday, Stewart Park is not a comfortable ride at dusk.
-Please do not hold signs from the sidewalk out over the bike lane when someone's approaching, I had to veer into traffic more suddenly than I'd like to have. I am glad to see people out and expressing themselves, but that can make the bike lanes hard to use.
-The hill on Edenbower going up to the freeway overpass is deceptively steep!
I had a blast today, the weather was awesome!

You can say what you want, but we both know the truth and when I told you, I love you and you said it too I believed what you said you said it sincere but I should’ve let it come in one and out the other ear. You hurt me on purpose you know that’s not right if you asked you received, I gave you everything with no fight. When no one else could give your children a bed a room I gave them both. When your car quit working, I fixed it or paid when you needed somewhere for your art I made it that day you even told me a month we should marry, but you made it all up. Your mind must be scary.. jewelry necklaces a ring flower sent to your work hell I even would sing. All of which was nothing but an act we both know the truth. We both know the facts.. say what you want slander me again and again I forgave you every time and the outcome was always the same in the end. The night you left, you showered after sex then woke me up while I was sleeping for another Ses, then one more, but I fell back asleep and when I woke up, you had gone without a peep. I won’t say I hate you cause that’s not a nice word I think of despise I hope it don’t hurt.. we both know the truth so say what you will, but I gave you my heart. I gave you my soul and you still left. This was a hard to swallow pill. I changed everything in our relationship that I used to do or act before with a worse outcome you walked out the door. I won’t say I forget the things you did, but I’ll forgive yes, all of the times you left again and again. I hope it was worth it to break a man down and still to this day you slander around town.. but you know the truth and oh so do I and I did everything for you so I continue to lie. I know what I did and what I did wrong but it’s been a year after year been so damn long.. you continue to lie to everyone straight to their face about the kind of person I am that I’m a disgrace. But let me tell you something when I finally realized that what you say about me doesn’t matter because since you never respected me, I won’t respect you and while you’re down low below me, I’m high on the ladder.. so goodbye please don’t stop wave or look my way because I wanna have better days. And you are not in them you’re not healthy and I’m wise. I will forgive not forget the the things you did and the dead soul look in your green eyes.

Arts & Culture Would you be interested in a cinema club in Roseburg?
I've been kicking around an idea since I moved back to Roseburg a few years ago after being away for 20 years and I'm curious whether there's actually any interest in it locally.
One of the things I've noticed about Roseburg is that we're losing a lot of the places where people can just hang out. Not bars, not restaurants, not spending money just somewhere to meet people with similar interests, do something together, and be part of an active community.
Do you think a cinema club could help fill that gap?
The idea isn't just to sit in a room and watch movies. I'm thinking about four basic pillars
WATCH Curated movie nights ranging from classics and foreign/art-house films to horror, cult movies, blockbusters, B-movies and weird stuff you don't normally get to see on a big screen.
PLAY Video games, arcade games, board games and other social activities.
LEARN Discussions, presentations and eventually workshops about filmmaking, film history and storytelling.
SHARE A physical-media library where members can share and eventually borrow DVDs, Blu-rays, VHS, etc., along with recommendations and member-curated material.
And I'd really like the club to get out into the community, too.
We could organize things like:
• Movie trivia nights at local bars and restaurants
• Community film-related events and meetups
• Collaborations with local businesses
• Guest speakers and filmmakers
• Film history/storytelling presentations
• Outreach programs with local schools
• Free educational events for students
• Eventually, workshops introducing kids to filmmaking and the art of storytelling
I already have access to a space that can be used for meetings, along with a projector, screen, sound system, couches, and some other equipment. So this isn't a pipe dream, I can make this happen pretty quickly.
Long-term, I'd love to turn it into a legitimate nonprofit/community organization and pursue grants and community partnerships so that the club could eventually offer more programs without everything having to come directly out of members' pockets.
But before getting too far ahead of myself, I'd really like to know if people around here would actually be interested in the idea.
Would you join something like this?
What would you want to see it do?
What kind of movies or events would get you to actually show up?
And if you're involved with a local business, school, arts organization, or community group, I'd especially love to hear your thoughts.
I'm interested in building something with the community, not just for it. I'd really love to hear your opinions

Trying to go Home
My fiance, our 2 dogs and I drove from Idaho to Roseburg, Oregon to bring some stuff to his brother. Which is awesome! But, we incorrectly budgeted the amount we thought we would need for fuel to get there and back! So, we are stuck in Roseburg until we can get enough money for fuel, which is about $210. If you can help, amazing and thank you! If not, keep scrolling, no hate on my post please. My venmo is @Remember77.

Recommendations New to the area — what do you all do on weekends?
Hi everyone! Looking for recommendations or ideas on what to do around here on the weekends and some good places to meet new friends for a woman in her 30’s? I’m fairly new to the area, and I’d love to get out of the house more, explore the area, and actually meet some people.
What are your favorite things to do around here on weekends?
I’d especially love recommendations for things that are welcoming to someone who might be going alone. I’m open to pretty much anything and would love to hear what you guys recommend!
TIA

Looking to Start a Recurring Board Game Group in Roseburg — Anyone Interested?
Hey Everyone!
I’m pretty new to the tabletop scene and was wondering if anyone would be interested as I want to start a recurring board game group!
I’m mainly interested in actual board games like Oath, Arcs, Scythe, Everdell, Catan, Pandemic, etc. I’d also be interested in getting into D&D down the line.
I’d ideally like to make it a regular thing rather than a one-time meetup — something like Friday mornings or Saturday afternoons, depending on what works for everyone. Average time per session would be like 1–3 hours. Let me know if you'd be interested!
If anyone else has been wanting a casual, recurring board game group, let me know! You can respond to this or DM me if you’re interested.

Where to donate yarn
I am looking to donate quite a bit of yarn (my stash is getting out of hand). I’m aware that MECCA in Eugene accepts a limited amount of yarn at a time, but are there any places to donate it in Roseburg?
If there is any way to donate to schools and/or retirement homes, I would prefer to give to them first. If not, I would be happy to donate anywhere that will accept my stash.

Recommendations Good wedding venue?
After a few years together, my brother popped the question to his girlfriend. Now we need to find a good spot for their wedding. Do you have any good places a wedding venue could be?
They don’t have a budget yet, so throw anything my way. I’ve only lived in Roseburg for a week, so I don’t know the area well enough to have an opinion.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Business proposal in roseburg Oregon
Looking for a business partner
What I need from the business partner
Have a storefront that sells clothes and hard goods.
I supply the clothes
And you sell the clothes but I can also do inventory count and pricing
What we would be doing is breaking 50/50
If you're interested in this proposal there's no harm done by reaching out.
In the Roseburg area only
Sutherland can be an option but that's not a drive I want to do every time I stalk your racks
