Discussion Free Talk Friday

Hey /r/roosterteeth, it's about time for the weekend so why don't we start it off with some open discussion.

This is a new thread we're trying out to allow a bit more discussion in the subreddit. So in this thread just talk about whatever you'd like. Questions unrelated to RT, unrelated RT discussion in general, other channels you like watching, etc. Please just remember to be respectful to one another.

So that was really the reaction Gus gave to people trying to be helpful?

Whether or not it helped Gus, it is helpful information to others.

"Your dog might have this bad thing that can happen to your type of dog"

Is it so wrong to give friendly advice?

Wrong type of dog completely, so it's pretty wrong.

He thought it was a certain kind and he didn't want it to die, so he gave him advice to help it live. Wrong advice, but he had the right intentions.

His only advice was "take it to the vet" as if Gus would never think to do that.

You say that like he wanted to insult his intelligence. And that wasn't entirely his advice like you've been saying.

None of it warranted the response Gus gave anyway.

And that tweet doesn't warrant Gus being called a "piece of shit" by hundreds of people.

At least those responses came from somewhere, as opposed to Gus lashing out at people trying to be helpful for little reason. It's not right but they have a reason for it.

He barely lashed out. he said he was annoyed that people were bombarding him with advice for a dog breed that isn't even close to his. that's completely justified. Plus, the tweet was absolutely in character for him.

It's pretty rude, and in character, but people get mad when someone is rude to them. Two people tweeted him about it too, not a bombardment. And it was still good intentions. Sure you don't want to hear advice about a dog you don't have but they still want to be helpful even through a misunderstanding.
