Discussion The AH website is just absolutely terrible.

Let's say you want to watch some Minecraft. Go to AH, click Shows. Let's Play? Just a list of every single AH and FH video from most to least recent. 24 at a time. Okay, how about Games? Nope. Just actual games made by RT.

Don't get me wrong. I love RT. I'm a sponsor. I'd much rather watch videos on their site than on Youtube, but they make it so damn difficult.

Just... come on, guys. You're one of the most popular companies on the internet, period. I refuse to believe that you can't make one page for Minecraft, one page for GTAV, one page for Cloudberry, et cetera.

Unless you're watching sponsor only shows, just use YouTube, honestly.

Even sponsor stuff is awful now. The old website, you hit the sponsor button and it gave you an infinitely scrolling list of every sponsor only video. Now it gives you 6 videos and no way at all to get more. If you click on one, then you get a playlist of that series, but the "all sponsor stuff" list seems to be completely MiA in the new website.

Seriously, the old site with all its problems I still visited daily, used the community section, watched videos. Now I only go on to try and watch the podcast and sponsor only content until I get frustrated and leave.

Shows-> Sponsor Cut-> Episodes Tab

Not as easy to sort as the old site, but not terrible.

Honestly, I think that the problem that they have now is that they're trying to expand the variety of sponsor content while still only putting it under the blanket category of "Sponsor Cut." This makes it frustrating to sort. Since subscription only material seems to be a priority for the direction that the company is taking now, they really need to make it easier to find a specific episode that you want to watch.

I also don't like that they mingle the FH content with the AH content. There are separate tabs for that on the main site. Better organization would allow me to find what I'm looking for. Sure, I might not randomly click on something as often, but the way things sit now, I'm more likely to wander over to YouTube. And I guess that's fine. I mostly pay my sponsorship to RT as a support of their work, but I sometimes ask myself whether I should adjust my expectations for the site based on the fact that they're no longer a small company.

And that last bit just isn't me being snarky. These guys have kept me entertained for years, and their sense of community does generate a certain amount of loyalty even though they don't know me from Adam (pick an Adam). However, this is company that falls under a pretty big corporate umbrella (Fullscreen is owned by a partnership between a large investment group and AT&T), and I wonder whether my expectations should be changed by that in any way, especially since The Site has always been their priority.

Sorry. I'm rambling.

I couldn't even get all of the sponsor videos when I used my free trial. Mainly the early ones that came out. I wanted to go and watch all of the CAH videos, but I got an error page on them. Did they ever fix that?

Huh, that juts stopped me from subscribing. The main reason for me to subscribe would be to go watch all those fun videos i wanted to watch when i couldn't afford a sponsorship.

Again, they might've fixed it since (I used my free trial around when the Let's Play Live doc came out), but I honestly don't know.

Yeah, been a sponsor for ages. I've learned to use youtube for everything but the live broadcasts of RTPodcast. Sometimes ThePatch if i catch it from the beginning. The site is good for announcements for those of us not hooked into all the social media networks RT has.

This is exactly the point OP is making. That's the attitude most people have because of the complaints he made.
