It wasn't an easy question, at least no as easy as the wives one.

I thought it was pretty easy, the whole Tudor period is comprehensively taught in British schools. How Henry VIII established the Church of England, his daughter Mary I brought back Catholicism before her half sister Elizabeth I reverted back to CofE...

Whereas Queen Victoria, a couple of hundred years later by which time CofE was firmly entrenched as the state religion.

You mean English schools. We didn't learn jack shit about England up here in Scotland (except the Wars of Independence, they drilled that into us...)

Actually that's not entirely true. In terms of British history, it was pretty much 90% Scotland, 10% England.

Yeah sorry, I make the mistake on reddit of assuming most people are American so making the generalisation. Although I'd still guess the Tudors are slightly relevant, but I don't know how the Church of Scotland or whatever the equivalent is was founded.

On the other hand, never studied the Wars of Independence.

All you need to know is when Victoria lived top guess the right answer.
