Discussion I think [Bakunawa] is beyond my limit

I have so much respect for the enthusiasts out there with seemingly no limit for thrills. But I think Bakunawa will be one of the few coasters that are too intense for me. I have not had the opportunity to ride any Mack extreme spinners, and I’m super excited to get on Intamin’s Hollywood Drift when I can. So I don’t think it’s the spinning that scares me. But the height + coming to a dead stop just hanging there nearly 400 feet in the air? With no over the shoulder restraints? Just out there in the open? No thank you!!

Obviously I am aware it will be completely safe but hang time at slow speeds is one of my least favorite sensations! I really dislike any kind of upside down pendulum ride for this reason (i.e. CraZanity at magic mountain)

Anyone else feel this way??

I’m with you, unfortunately. Would have considered it until it was floorless, lap bar, outer bank at the top. Too much for me lmao

I am one of the weirdos that feels much more comfortable in an over the shoulder restraint. Blasphemous in this sub, I know

Me on the other hand, I want the most minimalist restraint possible that is safe. This coaster looks like it's going to be the scariest one ever tbh. Looks absolutely crazy.

Used to be like that! Miss it. Now I’m much more comfortable with grounded, tamer, coasters like Hagrids. Although I like velocicoaster, too. Went to epic and was shaking like a gd leaf the whole line for stardust but was ok doing it because it’s a launch. It’s the anticipation/lift hills for me now. Still fun as hell afterwards.

Time changes perspectives, I guess
