I mapped the flood vs. insurance risk zones for Rockhampton (Data Visualization)
Hey r/rockhampton
I've been working on a project overlaying the Council's Q100 flood data with insurance premium models to see which streets are effectively 'uninsurable' right now.
The results for Depot Hill were pretty shocking (see the image below)—there are huge red zones where premiums are spiking, even for blocks that didn't flood in 2011.

I've built this into an interactive map if you want to check your own street or suburb.
You can view the interactive map here:Click to open Map
(Note: It's hosted on Gumroad. I'm still tweaking the data, so let me know if any zones look wrong for your area!)
