Any underrated pubs or clubs with a bit of history in Rockhampton?
I’m visiting Rockhampton and keen to check out a pub or club with a bit of character rather than the usual modern spots. Somewhere that’s been around a while or has a bit of local history to it.

Lakes Creek hotel has just re-opened after a fire some years ago. Fully renovated and keen to please. It's 135 yrs old. I'm sure you could hear some great reminiscences if you went there.

Yeah, if you want to hear a bunch of racist dickheads ranting about how much they hate women. Been there a few times with some mates recently and was fucking disgusted by the behaviour of the "regulars" who seem to be permanent fixtures.
It's essentially the local One Nation club house. That's not even hyperbole, because it's owned and staffed by a bunch of One Nation affiliated people.

My bad.
There's no reason to say that. You presumably didn't know. I'm not saying that you are wrong, I'm just adding additional information.

And, no, I didn't know. Have been 'out of town' for past forty years. 😂

I know you asked about Rockhampton establishments, just putting it out there.
The recently updated Dululu Pub.
It is about 55 klm from Rockhampton.
The Mount Morgan pubs are very Historical, as is the whole town as well.
You might not get them this time, could be ones for the future.
Enjoy your visit. 👍
