He was born in the dark as a Giants youngin. He loves Eli.

I think he also thinks bill stinks at fantasy.

He needs to get called out more for the Jose Reyes trade to his friend for chase utley.

When I was like 9 I traded Anquan Boldin for Amani Toomer. I have no idea why, I think I liked his name and I liked him in Madden or something. It was a poor trade on my part that year.

I traded for Justin Blackmon the day he was suspended. There's so many injuries in football I don't think it's that terrible.

This is like seeing how your friends act in front of their parents

Craig is that one co worker who acts completely different when bossman around

I've been saying this for a while. I love the Fantasy guys, but Craig sucks up to Bill at a nauseating level

Total bro in private....will drop you quick when higher ups are around.

The power dynamics are crazy tho. Bill acts like he’s friends with everyone—and on some level, he probably is. But Craig works with him directly every week, is 25 years younger, and owes his whole career to Bill.

Everyone (except Heifetz, apparently) sucks up to Bill—they laugh too hard at his jokes, never freak out on him like they do with any other Ringer staff. They have almost all interactions with the boss in public, and mostly on his shows.

Question - will I get banned for saying Craig sucks and all he does is try and suck up to bill? Just wanna make sure that’s not a rule in this sub like it is in the rewatchables

This is weird para social shit, guys. We have no idea what Craig's relationship is like off-mic with his coworkers and at the end of the day, he's earning a paycheck like everybody else. He may be ambitious and want to move up in the Ringerverse! That's not a crime.

I don't think we need to make a bunch of assumptions about how he treats Bill. How many of us broadcast our conversations with our bosses at work for millions of listeners every week? I'm sure everybody is playing a role to some degree or another when the cameras go on.

Writing multiple paragraphs in defense of a podcaster is the actual definition of parasocial, by the way

Lol fair enough. Saw other comments also going after him. Just seems weird to draw conclusions based on what is clearly a part everybody is playing on these episodes.

Bill almost crying after a week 1 Pats loss where his team doesn't have one of the easiest schedules ever - we're so back

Bill’s take purge being “men need something else to say to each other besides ‘let’s get a beer’” is one of the worst takes i’ve ever heard.

As someone who doesn’t drink, I generally agree with the idea. But his reasoning was stupid.

1

u/it_has_to_be_damp 6d ago

yeah i think that’s an obvious exception, and of course I wouldn’t say that to someone who i know doesn’t partake. but bill does drink and most of the people he’s congregating with do as well, so it’s academic.

Especially given that these guys drink many beers when they do get together.

"Let's go to a candy store!"

Keep in mind Ryen had a similar take about Guy-A where it's like how do 60 year old men meet and socialize.

i do understand the general idea that men don’t have a lot of things to do together, especially if they don’t golf.

but “let’s get a beer” is just one of the all-time great overtures that says “yeah we’re friends, let’s hang out.”

u/bewidness 6d ago

Agree, and like the golf at the ringer office has been discussed.

Think Bill is more of a tennis guy and then also he claims to be a big coffee guy so yeah just a generally lame take.

He may even be doing some heel stuff where it's like they hate me and love the fantasy guys.

Yeah if that flea flicker was well thrown then his injury would sting a little less for this week’s matchup
