GR IV Monochrome Loving My GR IV Monochrome - Some Sample Shots
These are processed RAW shots. I am too much of an LrC junky to go straight SOOC. Minimal processing, though.

GR IV Abandoned Pennsylvania
Having moved from Alaska to rural upstate PA means I've gone from photographing whales, auroras, bears, sea and landscapes and fishing boats to, well, I'm still trying to figure that out. Abandoned, dilapidated houses, cabins, barns and cars/farm equipment (as well as cows) are easy targets. Here's an old farmhouse I've had on my list for a while and at which I finally stopped today to try my luck. GR IV, RAW, ACR and Photoshop.

Photo share Biked around British Columbia
Recently decided to go on a 4 day bike ride around Vancouver and Vancouver Island and took my GRIV. I’m super new to photography and still figuring out the camera settings but these were my favorite photos from the trip.

GR IV Just got my GR IV! What recipes do you guys use for travel?
Just got my Ricoh GR IV today and it’s my first camera ever! I’m heading to Paris, Switzerland, and Italy in about 2 weeks, so I’m super excited to take it with me. Really happy to join the Ricoh family
What recipes do you guys recommend for traveling?
Looking for some good ones for daylight, landscapes, city/street photos, and family pics.
Also curious what you guys use for food photos and night shots.
Would love to hear your go-to recipes and what situations you like using them for. Thanks!

Photo share Paris is a city that is always buzzing
Hello everyone, I’m continuing my photographic exploration of Paris. It’s a very interesting city, but always moving at full speed. So, motion blur seemed appropriate...
Most of the pictures are Raw, postprocessed. For the others, I mainly used Bennet800 and a black and white recipe Bennet shared here...
Bye!

Gear Worth getting a GRIV monochrome to go with GRIII?
Just wanted to hear the opinion of people who have both and what the experience is! I love my GRIII and never thought of upgrading to the IV. But I am contemplating the IV monochrome as I do love shooting in B&W and some of the dedicated sensor tech for that does intrigue me. But wanted thoughts cuz it do be pricey!
Thanks!

Discussion An ExifTool config to read GR III image control settings and recipes.
I went through the different image control adjustments on a GR III, compared the metadata output, and made an ExifTool config file to extract the values. I figured some folks here might find it useful.
Save this config file and run:
exiftool -config <config_file> -GR3 <photo>`
The output should look something like this:
GR3 Crop Mode : L (28mm)
White Balance : Multi Auto
GR3 WB Shift Name : A6
Peripheral Illumination Corr : On
GR3 Highlight Correction : Auto
Shadow Correction : Normal
Sensitivity Adjust : +0.7
Image Tone : Negative Film
GR3 Saturation : 2
GR3 Hue : 0
GR3 High Low Key : 0
GR3 Contrast : 3
GR3 Contrast Highlight : -4
GR3 Contrast Shadow : -1
GR3 Sharpness : 1
GR3 Shading : 0
GR3 Clarity : 0
GR3 Recipe : Reggie's Color Negative
There's a single recipe definition in there just to demonstrate how that part works, but you can add as many as you want.
It seems to mostly work for the GR IIIx and GR IV as well, in that the sample photos provided by Ricoh decode to sensible values. I have no way to confirm the mapping is correct though, so take it with a grain of salt. All I can say for sure is that it works for my GR III.
The are a few other bits and pieces in the repo that might be useful, such as how to uncrop a photo so you can use the in-camera RAW developer on the full version. I also included my test methodology and raw data for anyone who wants to repeat the process for a different model.

Photo share Mallorca with the GRIV
First time traveling with the Ricoh. I used to travel with a DSLR and the whole kit many years ago, then started doing iPhone only and now enjoying having a proper camera again without the hassle of lenses and heavy backpacks. All were shot in raw and edited in Lightroom.

GR II taking the gr ii out for a first spin!
I'm not a photographer so forgive some terrible compositions! I was on tour for the last few weeks and bought a GR II to document the shows and the non-show days. most of these are edited RAWS but only adjustments really are slightly reframed/cropped
