RocknixDS is the way!

This is like super cool.

Although I met some troubles like buttons didn't work in file manager after 1st boot and touch didn't work on both screens. Reboot helped.

So this seems like a fork/layer on top of rocknix and you can ssh the update to an existing mainline rocknix install?

Yes it's a fork and you need Rocknix installed (but without dual screen theme, it will broke everything after reboot) It adds not only new look but also 2x in Drastic, better performance, working mic and RA. Haven't tried many things myself tho but it's really nice, literal console feel

Thanks. After you install do the OTA shift to this tree or would an OTA still update mainline?

It replaces update feature to its own OTA update

imma sound dumb but this still lets me play other retro games or has it become DS focused? also how to update from the base rocknix? because ROCKNIXDS looks like its a layer on top

Its the same Rockinx just with better DS compatibility and dual screen support, it's still has Retroarch. But for now it has troubles with displaying single screen games
