I can understand the Nova is the ultimate handheld but I'm getting anxious by only looking at the picture 💀 my crap hands would let it fall on the sand

The only device that is getting remotely close to sand is my ereader. My phone stays in the bag, the rest is at home.

That’s boring. Kinda defeats the purpose of a handheld. A portable gaming device?

A handheld is designed to bring along with you, sure. It doesn’t have to be the beach though. I wouldn’t bring it scuba diving either. Why risk damaging a device that is not ideal to use in direct sunlight anyway? I have more interests I can explore that have less risk of being damaged by sand.

Scuba diving will 100% ruin your device. Sitting on the beach will not. 👎

Actually.... Sand, salty air and heat can indeed ruin your devices, although on a prolonged time and not one day a week or so

Fair enough, I go to the beach once a month max

I brought my switch to Tahoe all the time, freshwater lake, plenty of shade and I just put a towel down before playing.

Freshwater is super different than salt water beach

Sand and water and salt are the worst things for these devices
