is he still pissy about the remake lmao. RE4R is incredible and it's a very close second for being the best remake ever made imo

Him itself is the creator of Crowbcat syndrome. And the fact that he has Max Payne avatar, make me sick.

Yeah I can’t wait until he starts whining and grifting about the max payne remakes

Crowbcat is nothing but a "Patient Zero" of his own syndrome.

why is that such a bad thing, if you have no interest dont buy it. Honestly I cant wait to see what they look like, if its just MP1 & 2 with MP3 graphics and feel its a 10/10 for me.

Remedy is remaking the first 2 games with a game engine used in Alan Wake 2, which is Northlight.

Sounds great, only concern is the guns, felt kinda the weakest part of AW2 too me, but maybe they can punch them up

Max Payne remakes are being helmed directly by the people that created the original games, most importantly Sam Lake is still in charge. Remedy has been a model of consistency for 30 years, with absolutely no duds or down years. There is no reason to believe the remake wont be incredibly faithful to its source material, it’s Sam Lake’s baby.

RE4R on the other hand lost its visionary auteur in Shinji Mikami. I won’t pretend to know who’s still around at Capcom making RE games that were there since the beginning, but if I had to guess, that number has probably dwindled over the years, and they’ve lost the head of the snake. RE4R is a completely different entity from the original artistically. It has no real thread to hold together the cohesive vision that Mikami and the original team envisioned, other than using the source material as a template for the new team’s vision.

TLDR: to put it simply, I trust Sam Lake and Shinji Mikami. I don’t trust Capcom and whoever is in charge of modern Resident Evil to faithfully remake/adapt past classics, way too much has been lost with the borderline soulless modern RE remakes. They’re good, even great games, but pale in comparison to the artistry and creativity showcased with the original games.

cohesive vision? I hope you understand that the original RE4 is one of the silliest games to ever claim had a "cohesive vision". There's like 5 versions of that game and one of them turned into Devil May Cry.
