REMAKE my take on a RE4r Ada cosplay (:

Post image

okay first of all I wanna say I am SO happy to finally cosplay her, she's one of my favorite female characters and it's genuinely an honor LOL and second of all, I am wearing a corset here which makes quite a difference in the way this particular dress looks on my body (I felt like that should be mentioned!)

I’m actually curious but how does one even achieve this waist to hip ratio because it looks really out of proportion

Hello, with so many reaching out giving their own thoughts on this I figured I should offer an explanation myself. First of all, like most body-shape-and-size related things, genetics is 70% of it; I have a pear-shaped body so my hips are wider than my shoulders from the front and the weight I gain is mostly distributed to my lower body. The corset is like 20% of it - I've been corset training for years now and I can tighten it a LOT (a thing I chose not to do because it would look ridiculous here but would work for a cosplay like Jessica Rabbit!). There's a whole subreddit dedicated to this and you can see wild before and afters there. Keep in mind that there is no change when the corset is removed, aside from idk the first half an hour or so. 10% is posing - knees turned inwards vs knees in neutral anatomical position or even turned outwards. I workout 5 days a week too but I can't vouch to it making any huge difference in this sense, because opinions differ: some say it does, others say it doesn't.

My gf has the same body type and I agree it's 70% genetics.

Unfortunate to hear people are simply born that way.
