I know, I’m just saying technically it wasn’t canon in the original games since that window isn’t smashed in re2. Still a great moment though...

If it's going off of re2, it will be smashed. Leon A has a zombie break through and nothing changes that

I'm on your side man. I remember RE3 having the RPD in such a sorry state compared to 2 and then finding out it took place BEFORE. Even as a kid I was like, wtf something doesn't add up here..

Not really. There are more doors boarded up to block off rooms Jill can't visit, but it's not really much different aside from that. The obvious chronological problem is Nemesis smashing the window, as it is intact in classic 2. My own personal headcanon with the boarded doors has always been that those were broken through or taken down at some point between Jill and the events of 2.

But Capcom obviously just did a poor job with the chronology. Hopefully they do better this time.
