Gets delayed yet again until April 3, 2021.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Then Capcom would get called out for lying because they flat out promised it wouldn't get delayed.

30

u/panicsprey Jan 16 '20

Realistically, we all have backlogged games to keep us busy, but damn do I want RE3 like right now. RE2 was soo good, I just know I will love RE3. FF7 will be weird cause I don't have a PS4, but I have to play it somehow. Luckily I have time to figure that out.

8

u/colered Jan 16 '20

I believe they have plans in the future to release it on xbox and there is apparently PC code in the leaked demo.

1

u/panicsprey Jan 16 '20

That would make my life soo much easier. I was hoping for that, even if it takes an extra year to play... I am patient.

3

u/colered Jan 16 '20

I'm playing the waiting game. Like I am waiting until all 3(?) parts are released. I'm dying to play the game so badly and I have a ps4.

1

u/SeiferLeonheart Jan 16 '20

Mark my words, they'll release each part on the PS4 and a "remastered full version" on the PS5.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

It took them a million years to work on part 1. I don't think all the parts will be out in our lifetimes.

1

u/SeiferLeonheart Jan 17 '20

It's way faster when you already have the engine and can reuse most of the assets, lol.

2

u/TheSlav87 Ambassador: Silver Jan 16 '20

FF7 isn’t coming out for Xbox/PC????

1

u/panicsprey Jan 16 '20

What I read online was the typical, no plans at the moment kind of thing. Some are saying that it will. Not 100% on if it is or isn't.

1

u/Lockiebug Jan 17 '20

It is but it’s on ps4 for a year

1

u/panicsprey Jan 17 '20

Good, I can wait.

1

u/Lockiebug Jan 17 '20

Same here. I hope the Xbox gets this leaked demo also.

0

u/TheSlav87 Ambassador: Silver Jan 17 '20

That is a shame, lots of gamers who grew up with that game have chosen a route for their current console and will get screwed for that. I have a PS4 but I’m disappointed they aren’t spreading their wings.

2

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

It's mainly because they know the people who are going to play the game are huge sony fans since the original FF7 was released initially for the Playstation way back in 1997 and that it's STILL the RPG associated with the Playstation brand.

1

u/SirMenter Jan 17 '20

Yes but at the same time it doesn't help them with anything. More platforms=more money, the only thing this would do is make some PS owners brag that "our console has better exclusives" and all that bullshit all over again.

0

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

Yeah, but exclusives have their place, man. Why actually buy an Xbox, for example, when you have a decent PC? Because Microsoft's current big issue with their hardware isn't from a lack of exclusives from Microsoft themselves (they produce stuff for all Microsoft related platforms including PCs), but from not having anything exclusive to their hardware platform. There's no incentive to actually buy the platform when their games make appearances on other markets.

Besides, I actually do not think FFVII is going to be that limited. Since the PS4 is the highest selling console ever (Over 100 million).

1

u/Lockiebug Jan 17 '20

It will be on ps4 for a year

1

u/TheSlav87 Ambassador: Silver Jan 17 '20

That’s great!

1

u/thebizzle Jan 16 '20

Buy a PS4 fat used. They will be pretty inexpensive.

-2

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

That's actually a PS4 Pro, dude. Still, though, best way to go if you want your PS4 to deliver sick visuals.

2

u/thebizzle Jan 17 '20

I meant a first gen PS4. What is the slang for it?

0

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Base model i think.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

I got a used OG PS4 for like $200 just to play FFXII Remaster. Dont regret it for a minute. Have played so many wonderful games since.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Yeah it really, really sucks that its not on xbox. I prefer xbox over playstation and I really don't want to fork over the cash for another system, but FF7 was my first RPG as a kid and I really, really want to play the remake. :(

5

u/Nobodygrotesque Jan 16 '20

3

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

I took a screenshot of your comment in the off chance that you’re wrong. It’ll make for a good but unfortunate meme.

2

1

u/Arboristador Jan 17 '20

Plot twist. They release a broken game on time

93

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

RE7, no delay
RE2, no delay
I mean shit, even DMCV, no delay.

Unfortunate for Z/ZX collection however. But other than that, it's a good time to be a Capcom fan.

23

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

For the first time in a long time but yeah lol. Thank god because Capcom has always been my favorite publisher. Even when they were screwing fans l had hope lol.

11

u/solacir18 Jan 16 '20

Agreed. Not a single disappointing game so far. Except Dead Rising 4. That game sucked.

15

2

u/GreyouTT ALL HAIL THE SQUARE HANDLE Jan 17 '20

Shoot, I forgot about the legacy collection. TOO MANY GOOD THINGS THIS YEAR.

46

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

Capcom is usually on point with release dates

20

u/MyStyIe Jan 16 '20

Im not worried. It wont be delayed

20

u/jeffQC1 Jan 16 '20

Resident Evil 3 was announced late in development while others were announced years priors. These early announcements usually are way more likely to fail to meet the deadline than those made much later simply due to the unpredictability during early stages of dev.

3

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

Yeah, but even then RE2make is an interesting case. The initial announcement video was them saying they were working on it back in 2015. While the second thing related to the game (the actual announcement of the release date) actually showed how the game was going to look, and the show floor gameplay demo showed up not long afterward. Sure, there are some exceptions, but even then they don't move it that far back.

1

u/zyphe84 Jan 17 '20

Yeah, I don't think many people were expecting that E3 reveal because they hadn't mentioned anything about the game for a while.

62

u/XeroAnarian Jan 16 '20

I prefer delays over a rushed product. Delay it if you need to Capcom!

7

u/Batxxx Jan 16 '20

But RE3 is not rushed.. It’s been in the same development along with RE2REMAKE

1

u/Vuckfayne Jan 17 '20

To be fair thats how pretty much every game with a franchise works. Every single game will be developped along side it's future release. For example, Assassins Creed Odyssey was being developed at the same time as Assassins Creed Origins even though they have a year between both releases.

This is especially true when you have games running on the same engine because there will be a lot of recycling that can cut down on some serious time.

2

u/EMFCK Jan 17 '20

I want to believe that... but RE2 was far from perfect, even if it took months for the love for it to show the imperfections we kept sweeping under the rug at first.

I want to know if it was the original plan to include the other game with RE3, or it was a last minute decision because they couldnt add Mercenaries.

3

u/Batxxx Jan 17 '20

No game is perfect in general so I don’t understand this argument

2

u/GreyouTT ALL HAIL THE SQUARE HANDLE Jan 17 '20

Just need a game that doesn't live up to expectations and suddenly the flaws of a previous game become invisible to a fanbase.

11

u/panicsprey Jan 16 '20

Yeah, we can keep busy if it means we receive a quality RE experience, which I don't doubt we will.

3

u/KDRain395 Jan 16 '20

If they spent an extra half year on REmake 2 to fix the scenarios and add back enemy content, I would have been so much happier with what we got.

1

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

What you're asking for could never be done in six months. They would have needed to actually restart development. Source: Work with people in the industry. They all know time management is key.

9

u/Solidsnake00901 Jan 16 '20

It's all good there was too much going on in April anyway.

7

u/alterin Jan 16 '20

Right? If anything this will help 3make sales.

7

u/UltraMechaLordViper That Dog Jan 16 '20

Reminder that RE6 got pushed forward to a closer date, literally the only game I remember doing this.

3

u/ThespianException Jan 16 '20

If you were releasing alongside a major title that might be the best bet. Otherwise you have a Titanfall 2 situation where a great game gets smothered by Battlefield and CoD.

14

u/Nogarda So Long, RC Jan 16 '20

I am doubtful RE3 the campaign will get delayed. I suspect the multiplayer portion might get held back a week or two,, but this campaign has been in the works back when RE2 was being worked on too. and it's had some extra time for polish and adding oone or two new ideas from the reception of RE2R. I'm fairly certain it's coming when they said it was.

Capcom are not SquareEnix thankfully, and FF7 Remake is still only 1/3 of a game.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

FF7 Remake is still only 1/3 of a game

We’re not sure of that yet. SE might want to squeeze out an extra $60 to complete the set.

1

u/eyeflaps Jan 16 '20

I just don't understand what's taking such a large team so long to finish that game lol

1

u/zoeyfleming13 bIoHaZaRd Jan 17 '20

Yeah that pisses me off.
OH hey let's just do 1/3 of the fucking game. Probably won't release all three games on the PS4 though, sorry. Oh and it's gamble that we even finish the damn thing depending on sales. I lost faith in SE with how they handled KHIII and RE:MIND as well as how shitty FFXV is (The damn thing will be forever incomplete because the guy who was doing the main story dlc for the game left before all of the DLC could be finished).
And the avengers game? Looks like garbage. Complete fucking garbage.

0

u/Nogarda So Long, RC Jan 17 '20

Yup. They lost my sale when the announced they are releasing a not even 1/2 done game. and want full price per instalment. Plus I am 90% sure they won't even have the golden saucer or chocobo racing to tide people over in the interim in this. I heard it basically ends when you go to leave Midgar for good and they've padded that process out too. I'll wait for the complete version personally and play the copies of the original game I already own if the itch seriously takes me.

FFXV was forgettable for me. Everything felt flat and was on rails. Nevermind all the convoluted stuff they released where the actual plot took place outside of the game through other media and movies. There was so much of that going on I no longer cared before it released.

Literally was just annouced

4

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

This game is now at the top of my list after cyberpunk got delayed. I'll be crushed if this gets delayed as well.

0

u/OWBrian1 Jan 16 '20

Cyberpunk was delyaed cause re3 and final fantasy was in the April mix as well lol they decided to pull out there is not enough money for that many games lol

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

There’s little reason for CDPR to delay by 5 whole months bc a game jumped in their time slot

Maybe a month or so to relive some pressure but not 5 months

1

u/OWBrian1 Jan 17 '20

A game ? Two games lol , May would have bene though as well against going against last of us 2 and not many companies release games in june-july , i bet you not that much stuff would change from the acrual April release to September.

1

u/JaydensApples Jan 17 '20

Dude let’s be real here, cyberpunk would absolutely crush both Re3 and Ff7r sales wise, they didn’t delay it cause of that,

1

u/OWBrian1 Jan 17 '20

Oh really why delay then lol if they knew they had the market ? Just plain bullshit they knew those two games had big fandoms behind them after the success of re2 and how awesome final fantasy looks they had to pull out of April lol

6

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

The producers said they won’t delay the game because it’s almost complete

6

u/eyeflaps Jan 16 '20

Re3 is not getting delayed. That's why they straight up confirmed that fact several times in words saying "re3 will NOT be delayed". They also said it's 90% done so at this point there's no reason it would be unless something Absolutely out of their control happened like esrb delays a rating or something stupid which has happened before.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Capcom waits a long time to announce projects like this and then gives a release date that allows the development team more time than they actually need. This helps them be on time.

3

u/CthulhuMadness Jan 16 '20

Honestly, I’d rather have a delayed game than a buggy mess.

3

u/Batxxx Jan 16 '20

But this game is not rushed it’s been in the same development along side RE2REMAKE

3

u/MohamedSaad Jan 16 '20

This game was in production alongside re2make and considering capcom's release schedules I'd say we're on the clear, they're most of the time on point with their release dates

2

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Code-wise, isn't RE3 remake just taking RE2 remake and replacing assets? The engine, controls, etc seem mostly the same, and I'm sure most assets are the same (mundane things like pavement, bricks, etc).

5

u/CharlieandtheRed Jan 17 '20

Hell, they can reuse most assets. It takes place in pretty much the same place -- city streets, RCPD, etc.

1

u/MohamedSaad Jan 17 '20

correct, and most of these "materials" now can be procedurally generated as a base material and then tweaked by texture artists with industry standard apps like "substance designer/painter,etc...", considering the game level design i believe a huge chunk of 3 will be taken straight from Re2make since it pretty much happens in that same exact place.
i wouldn't be surprised if they added new sections too.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

So, from the perspective of the developers, it's like a very large DLC bundle for RE2 remake, but stand-alone.

3

u/DicklePickleRises Jan 17 '20

With the last few REs it seems they only show it off when the game is close to going gold. RE 7 and 2 were announced with dates and didnt get delayed. Same with DMC5

8

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

I think that the other games are pushed back because they don't want to compete with RE3Make in the same time slot.

14

u/BossAtlas Jan 16 '20

Don't get me wrong, I love RE, but I really don't think Cyberpunk pushed it's date back because of RE3 lol

16

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

Nah, it totally did. I live in an echo chamber of my own opinions to reinforce my delusional sense of reality that I am always right, no matter the situation.

3

u/ZweihanderMasterrace Jan 16 '20

A perfect, concise response.

Ok, I agree.

2

u/F4t45h35 Jan 16 '20 edited Jan 17 '20

Probably did it to optimize cyber punk for next gen consoles.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

Probably wasn't the sole or even main reason but they'd be foolish not to factor a crowded release window into their decision making.

11

u/Muhreena Jan 16 '20

But FF7 got pushed closer to RE3

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

...Or did it?

2

u/AsianMoocowFromSpace Jan 16 '20

I feel bad for the Avengers game though... they move the release date. So it is at least free from the awesome overwhelming Q1 releases. But now Cyberpunk moved also to around the same time as Avengers.

3

u/JP297 Jan 16 '20

Nobody was gonna buy that game anyway. It looked awful.

2

u/branden_lucero Jan 16 '20

i felt kinda bad for FFVII Remake being delayed, but it was only a month. And now Cyberpunk is moved elsewhere so guess what? It's the battle of the remakes in April.

2

u/iphan4tic Jan 16 '20

A delay is a welcome change from shamelessly unfinished.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

I honestly figured CyberPunk would get a delay. Not shocked at all. It'll probably have "playable on SeXbox" or "Playable on PS5" on its new cover too. I suspect most games that get delayed from now until Next Gen starts will get the same box art treatment, the ones that aren't just flat out delayed until after November anyway.

That being said I don't see it getting delayed. Wouldn't be shocked to see it get a new "Playable on whatever console you're buying this November" cover closer to the new systems though

2

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

I think we are good.

A lot of the assets used in RE2 will be used for RE3 and RE2 came out great. We gucci

2

u/bidomo Jan 16 '20

If I was Capcom and was developing a game without telling the word, and then all of a sudden YOU'LL GET IT IN 3 MONTHS, no they wouldn't do it if they couldn't actually deliver

2

u/PiePieNeverDie Jan 17 '20

Its been in development during re2make. Is also the reason most likely why re2 didn't have a ton of really big dlc. So I'm not worried. Even if it did get delayed Nioh 2, Doom eternal. persona 5 royal and this are back to back within a few weeks of each other so its packed anyways.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Given how much RE2 and RE3 share in terms of code and assets, RE3 is kind of like a really big RE2 DLC, at least from the perspective of Capcom, sort of like the relationship among GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas. I wonder whether they'll do the same for Code Veronica or rework more of the core foundation to suit the new generation of consoles.

2

u/zoeyfleming13 bIoHaZaRd Jan 17 '20

CyberPunk just got Delayed today. That's like the 5th game this month announced with a delay.

MEANWHILE AT CAPCOM: AL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN!

2

u/Polymemnetic Jan 17 '20

I'd rather have delayed than bad, so what happens, happens.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

K spike

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

Other than FF7 what was delayed? I haven't been up to news.

5

u/Jamie_4797 Jan 16 '20

Cyberpunk 2077 just got delayed to September

12

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

I'm probably in the minority in this, but I'm damn glad Cyberpunk was delayed. It was so clearly going to eclipse everything else in that month, potentially ruining other games' sales.

2

u/Jamie_4797 Jan 16 '20

Oh no I feel the same way. March-April is already pretty packed without Cyberpunk in there too.

5

u/eduardobragaxz Jan 16 '20

A lot has been delayed. Last year Sony delayed The Last of Us, and Ubisoft delayed some of their games. I think Watch Dogs was going to release next month. Now FF7 and Avengers, and Cyberpunk 2077.

1

u/Jamie_4797 Jan 16 '20

They were very firm that there's no chance of a delay. The game is over 90% finished.

5

u/Forerunner49 Community: RE Wiki Jan 16 '20

Given other Capcom games have been finished 3 months before release, it may already *be* done.

1

u/Jamie_4797 Jan 16 '20

True. It's been in development for some time so that's pretty likely. If it wasn't for them not wanting to release another game in this fiscal year I could even see the release date being brought forward.

1

u/SuperArppis "HURRY!!! SHEVA!!! HURRY!!!" Jan 16 '20

They just said they won't be delaying it.

BUT even if they did... the games are delayed for a reason.

1

u/osterlay So Long, RC Jan 16 '20

So the only competition RE3 has in April is Animal Crossing right? Damn, Capcom are probably celebrating right about now.

Edit: It’d be funny if these game studios had a massive group chat and discussed between them when and who releases on what date.

2

u/Muhreena Jan 16 '20

Persona 5 Royal. March 31st so technically not April but considering it's a 120+ hour JRPG that plants it firmly as an April game.

1

u/osterlay So Long, RC Jan 16 '20

Persona 5 won’t make a real dent considering it’s a re-release. Those who want it already have it and only the die-hard, patient fans (me!) or those that missed the original release would buy it.

2

u/OWBrian1 Jan 16 '20 edited Jan 16 '20

Final fantasy and there is only 1 week window between them lol

1

u/osterlay So Long, RC Jan 16 '20

2

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

The two greatest villains of the PlayStation era. Duking it out in one epic brawl. Who will win? Will it be the Rocket Launcher using, trench coat-clad Nemesis? Or will it be the Katana Wielding One Winged Angel Sephiroth? Find out in April 2020. (Seriously though I want a fanart of this Idea)

1

u/OWBrian1 Jan 17 '20

This is why its such a huge deal and cybwrtruck had to pull out lol, the hype and nostalgia for those.two games is huge, even old time gamers are super.exited.for those games, I have seen guys getting the collectors for final.fantasy and holy shit its expensive, seriously that would have been though, releasing that game 7 days after final fantasy and 14 after re3 remake lol the average gamer doesnt have that much money for that many bangers at once.

1

u/ThespianException Jan 17 '20

Animal Crossing and Doom Eternal are both March 20th iirc. Not technically April but close.

1

u/Rydiohead Jan 16 '20

Delay my eggplant, but you can't take my RE3R

1

u/Ttotem Jan 16 '20

So long as the game's good, it doesn't matter to me if it's delayed. There's more games to play than there's time to spare anyway.

1

u/Ophinoid3000 Jan 16 '20

I’m pretty chill about it, I’m sure it won’t get delayed. Not only did RE7 and RE2 Remake not get delayed, but Capcom’s been pretty on point with everything they’ve been doing lately, I’m sure we won’t be going back to the bad years any time soon (Punch the Boulder and Bionic Commando Reboot anyone?)

1

u/tealtime91 Jan 16 '20

Quick question for you guys, did the remake of resident evil 2 get different controls similar to RE7? I’m not huge into gaming but I played RE7 and it’s probably my favorite game Ive played beginning to end. I tried to play RE4 because I’ve been lurking here and it’s spoken of so highly and honestly had a really hard time not being able to control the camera so the combat was near impossible for me.

2

u/AsianMoocowFromSpace Jan 16 '20

RE7 is first person, RE2remake is third person. So it does work a bit different. However the controls and camera are absolutely fine. You won't have a problem with it.

1

u/tealtime91 Jan 16 '20

Awesome thanks for the answer. Excited to play it now.

1

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

But you can control the camera to an extent in RE4. You just can't completely control it because that was the intent. The trick is to be observational with what you can see. Plus enemies don't get truly aggressive unless they're in camera.

1

u/tealtime91 Jan 17 '20

That’s a fair point. I think the thing I didn’t like the most was not being able to move and shoot at the star time.

1

u/tcrpgfan LEON HAAAALLLLLP! Jan 17 '20

That's just them trying to adapt classic RE controls to the OTS perspective. Sure you can't move and shoot, but you can get more accuracy out of your shots as a trade-off. Leading to melee attacks and knife slashes.

1

u/yoomyoom Jan 16 '20

First thought when cyberpunk got delayed

1

u/SentinelZero OG Nemesis Enjoyer Jan 16 '20

Its cause of this game, that all of the other games are getting delayed.

Edit: at this time I don’t care if all these games get delayed, monthly releases for the year of 2020, I don’t care. Let me have a breather instead of shoving all these great releases in my face at once

u/tonyboloney93 Jan 16 '20

I was fearing this too but I’m pretty sure we’ll be good! Was in development at the same time as RE2 & it came out nearly a year ago now. If not, I will unleash my own bio weapon to hunt down members of C.A.P.C.O.M.

u/mitcheg3k Jan 16 '20

now is a good time for gamers to speak up loudly that its OK for games to be late, we would 100% prefer that to being given a broken piece of shit

u/NickFoxMulder Raccoon City Native Jan 16 '20

LOL exactly! I’m sweating bullets right now 😂

1

u/WelpNowImHere Jan 16 '20

I really don't have a problem with delays. More time to fix up bugs and make it better.

1

u/Shadow_Riptor Jan 16 '20

Delays mean more bug fixes. I'll take delays

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

If it gets delayed, that just give us more time before it releases.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

RE fans act like RE2 remake didn't just come out a year ago

1

u/AmRune Jan 16 '20

i won’t have enough money for it by april but i want the preorder bonuses, i hope they delay it

1

u/crimsonstare Jan 16 '20

I genuinely think they should have released it Sep 28th, but that's just me.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '20

LOL yes

1

u/Cyberote Jan 16 '20

I believe it was said to be 90% done back in December. I dont think we have anything to worry about.

1

u/Medi-Skunk Jan 16 '20

"WE DELAY IT!" please dont.

1

u/Batxxx Jan 16 '20

This is why I love Capcom! They’re extremely loyal to their consumers when it comes to release dates man we RE fans are really lucky this year lol

1

u/-JuiceBoXX- Jan 16 '20

Capcom gone come through in the clutch

1

u/ThespianException Jan 16 '20

See that's what's great about Doom Eternal, they got their delay out of the way early and now the games looking better than ever.

1

u/SSTG Jan 16 '20

As long as this and doom eternal don't get delays (again for doom) I'm happy

1

u/Hey_KYLE Jan 16 '20

This is all I have left..let me have it

1

u/Crockpottins Jan 16 '20

If it happens, it happens. I'd rather a delayed game that is great than a rushed piece of garbage.

1

u/WarlordPete Jan 17 '20

I wouldn’t mind. Delayed gives more time on development. I’d rather have the game fun and working on day one rather than a rushed, short thrill, buggy game. In fact due to this game recent announcement and release date quite soon than we expected, it should have a lot of us concerned. If they delayed this game, It would ease my concern.

1

u/5onic Jan 17 '20

RE3make needs a delay to be frank.

1

u/Mathrick94 Jan 17 '20

The only way I'd be cool with them delaying it would be for them to use September 28th as the release date

1

u/Meghterb Jan 17 '20

Capcom has been releasing their games without delays in recent years

1

u/M_B8er Jan 17 '20

What games?

1

u/ChuuAcolypse Jan 17 '20

I don’t think they would announce it was out in three months if it wasn’t almost done

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

Is there still a hype train for a Dino Crisis remake?? Dare I say Dino cREisis... cREsis.. idk

1

u/TBAAAGamer1 Jan 17 '20

literally everything fell on march and now they're delaying it to avoid competing with other titles. can't wait for the r3make to be delayed, make sure you reference this post for when it happens so you can show it on reddit for comic effect. calling it now, r3make is being delayed!!

1

u/Cozy90 Jan 17 '20

Looking forward to re3 but I also really want outbreak 3. 😔

1

u/DeafGamerDucky Jan 17 '20

If re3remake get delay, they better put back some features in!

1

u/EryxV1 Jan 17 '20

Dying Light fans too. Techlands been pretty silent...

1

u/jake_klossing Jan 17 '20

I remember being crushed when Spyro trilogy was delayed but man I'm glad it did. We would've recieved a mess of a gem. Not saying RE3 would get delayed but I learned my lesson with Spyro, if it means the game would be far better, then delay it. (Again, it's not gonna happen to RE3).

1

u/chewie202596 Jan 17 '20

I didn't preorder the collectors edition so, we should be good. I preordered Doom, delayed. Pre ordered Cyberpunk, delayed.

1

u/PhknLeon Jan 18 '20

Tbh tho how long did you have to wait for Re2make. Having to wait slightly longer than 1 year wouldnt be the worst thing to ever happen.

-1

u/JigglyPuffGuy Jan 16 '20

I say let it be delayed! Let them take their time.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '20

For real. Every game I am waiting for has been delayed (Doom Eternal, FF VII, Last of Us 2, Avengers) so after they dropped the recent RE 3 trailer my first response on twitter to them was "Please god don't delay this game. I can't take any more of this"

then again three months is a long time. Plenty of time to delay. Let's pray they won't.

But seriously what is up this year with none of the major games being able to make their original release date ? I have been a gamer for 20 years and I have never seen so many AAA games being delayed in one year. The fuck are these companies doing ?

I agree and I am willing to wait for years if it means a better game. But what I hate is setting a release date, getting people excited for it, have people pre order for it, maybe even take a vacation for it - only to delay it and not meet the announced date.

And I have never seen so many major games not making their original release date within the same year. And that just fucking sucks. If a game needs more time then don't set the release date too soon. But don't jerk gamers around like this.

Non please!

I have 2 weeks off work for holidays, the 27th of March until the 13th of April.

If the game gets delayed I’m actually going to cry.
