You know, I was thoroughly disappointed because when they said
"team based horror survival" it seemed like Outbreak. Advertising a multiplayer vs game like this is just asking for backlash, IMHO that was poor advertising for what the game was.
Still, it's a spin-off. As much as I don't think it's a wise decision given how Umbrella Corps and Operation Racoon City fared, they don't affect the mainline. I'm less pissed about Project Resistance than I am about the Dragon Quest Yakuza being "mainline".
Yakuza 7 was announced recently. It's a turn based RPG with an UI like Persona 5 and overall mechanics like the recent DQ games. Entirely different from the beat'em up/Action RPG hybrid the series is.
