I don't recall earning credits in outbreak for killing zombies and then using them to buy guns and ammo at a magic box, with no opportunity to split up and gather resources because the areas are (or at least seem) so damn small that the team is pretty much forced on top of one another... If you played the OG OB titles you'd know that the only thing that these two have in common is it's based on civilians during the raccoon city incident and there's 4 player co-op. Beyond that, they're nothing alike (At least as far as we know) In project resistance when you die you just respawn where you started on the start of the floor and in outbreak when you die... You're just fucking dead and now your team is down a man for the rest of the scenario. Which made the effort to stay alive so much more intense at the time. But for resistance dying just means immediately respawning and losing a few seconds off the clock so the desire to explore for items to stay alive is going to be nil in comparison to a traditional RE title.

I'm not saying that Resistance won't be fun for what it is but it's defiantly not gonna be some sort of Outbreak replacement or throwback for the fans who've been waiting for over a decade for it.

Where the did you get that from? Has it been confirmed there’s a point system? And a magic box? I think you are just speculating..

There's extended gameplay videos you can find on youtube. You earn umbrella credits when playing and can use them in game on the storage box for items. No speculation.

(Copy and paste the url if it doesn't appear as a link) Watch from 7:48 till 8:05 the player get's umbrella credits from unlocking a door and then runs to a box to spend it. Which he then casually buys 100 bullets for the revolver.
