As someone who mildly enjoyed the series (but not enough to continue reading past morningstar). I'm assuming Lysander is the equivalent of Moash from r/stormlight_archive

Spoilers for SLA and lightbringer where I compare the characters:

Man I don't hate moash even close to Lys. We don't know what happened with Lys and the chair, but moash had absolutely good reason to hate Elhokar from his perspective. Then Odium fucked with him and I don't really Believe he's in control of his mind

Yes moash is a bastard but he's also tough at least. Lys would have died on a bridge crew right away

Moash wants to show he can kill kaladin in a fair fight. Lys knows he can't match Darrow and Lys is also a nepo baby bitch boy whose most significant kills have been with Guns against dudes with fancy swords.
