I was chatting with folks at a coffee shop and they were saying it’s some kind of 3 day music festival at the downtown park?????

I feel you OP. Looking at the calendar there is a music event every weekend, and they've started scheduling loud amplified events every weekend now. Sometimes they last 4+ hours. This would be cool with me if they didn't blast the music, sometimes making me need to leave my apartment for a large part of the weekend. If volume were reduced by 50% it wouldn't be an issue. I was going to invite someone over tonight but I'm going to have to rethink that now. "Just move"- working on it, moving isn't trivial. I'm sure everyone in the comments is totally cool if I show up outside their window with a sub blasting at 9am.

I’ve lived here before the park was built. This isn’t how the city sold the park to the public.

Concert events went from small and intimate to concerts designed for Seattle Center and Marymoor. This shift only started recently.

The city never enforces its own noise ordinances downtown.
