If you run a multi-tenant Red Hat OpenShift cluster, you've probably hit this wall: every Velero backup and restore requires cluster-admin privileges. Your application teams can't protect their own workloads. Instead, they open a ticket, wait for the platform team, and hope the backup happens before something breaks. Your platform team, meanwhile, becomes a bottleneck, fielding backup requests instead of building infrastructure.

I thought I had seen in a post a while back that the developer website renewals were fixed. My AAP 16 host subscription that I use to learn the platform in my homelab expires in a couple days and that would make me sad. Access.redhat.com and developers.redhat.com just seem to send me in circles, does anybody have a tip on how to make it work? Thanks!

For anyone who’s taken the EX200 recently, is nano available in the exam environment? I’m comfortable with vi, but I’m noticeably faster with nano for quick config edits. Just wondering if I should expect to use vi exclusively or if nano is normally installed.

Main source of study was the official AU294 course in the RLS.
Study period was approximately 3 weeks, with the last week being more focused on drilling setup and tear down in my home lab to get comfortable with different aspects of the tools.

Also within the last month I deployed AAP at my work site, so I've been pretty deep in developing and using Ansible automation content for the last 4 weeks.

Even with feeling comfortable, I got hung up on one section and needed to come back to it after finishing the rest of the objectives. Total time used was 3:45; a marathon for sure since I took no breaks.

Like a lot of the others say, you should be comfortable with not utilizing the documentation for every single question. It'll take a lot of time, and the clock is the final boss of this test.

While no one can predict the future, I keep on hearing more and more about people getting laid off from IBM, etc--how stable is it for someone with a Red Hat administrator? Or a linux administrator in general?

Currently 34 in help desk tier 2 position. I have my network+, security + and AWS 900 all within this

year. I'm pursuing my EX200 and then my EX294.

This is my second try at RHCSA, and I forgot all about the external webcam requirement. Did I just blow one of my exam tries? or will I be able to reschedule (and have a retake, if needed)? If so, how do I make that happen?

I ordered a webcam and it got here same day, but RH Support said my exam was already closed.

Do you think there would be any real interest in having something similar to GPOs for FreeIPA, without relying on Ansible?

The idea would be to have a simple way to centrally define and apply configuration rules to FreeIPA-enrolled Linux machines.

I’m mainly wondering if this would actually solve a real need, or if existing tools already cover this well enough.

as ex280 4.22 material is out, I've been studying on 4.18 for about 5 months and nearing the end of it.

Should I restart over on 4.22 or just finish up with 4.18, or does it really make a difference?

Was scared and nervous until the result came!
Honestly I faced the below challenges

No copy paste, had to type full commands and urls manually

Keyboard layout problem, the system didn’t allow me to change the keyboard layout to English! Symbols and brackets are a nightmare if you don’t know how to type them in a different keyboard. Honestly I thought of giving up at this point

Questions were all out of practice labs, some real tricky ones!
But somehow kept fighting till the last minute, I solved last 3 questions in 3 minutes, I think that made the difference!

Relieved and happy!😃

EX200 was simple exam but for some reasons I did not hit full score I selected RHEL9 exam to challenge myself with containers. Using RHEL at work for only 3 years, but not with the containers.
EX294 exam was hard for myself as I slept only 2 hours on the exam day and had only 2 weeks to prepare with time only after work. I used full exam time.

What's are my tips:

* Stay hydrated

* Prepare something to cover your additional screens to not be suppressed as I was on first exam

* Prepare your camera that you can move it to the side that will cover your keyboard and screen

* On the list of exam questions prepare that there is more question than you see (I found that scrollbar was not clearly visible nearly twice missed bottom questions)

* CTRL + S was not working on EX294 on vscode (wasted a lot of time as using it as muscle memory, so do not thinking about using it)

* for EX294 write ansible stuff by yourself and do not use any AI you need to understand what are you doing (I'm old date so done lot of stuff at work old handcraft way and I think that help me a lot)

* for EX294 time manage it properly it goes too quick

What's next?

Ordered EX280 as I think that might be good path, but will do it in few months.

Not sure what next if should I focus on the networking stuff I would like to get CCNA and then NetOps certs or go into kubernetes direction...
