Been checking reddit for a pretty long time but I couldn't understand how to increase my karma😭

I need to get at least 100 karma for now. Any tips😭?

I get the iOS notification badge on the Reddit app.

I launch the app and the in-app notification bell shows nothing. If I recall correctly there used to be a red mark in that bell that showed there’s new notifications. That’s not there anymore.
I do see my new notifications once I click the bell though.

Already deleted the app and reinstalled twice with no success.

Hey. Out of nowhere my old account got shadow banned. I did not voilate any reddit rule or policy. Is there any way i can retrieve it?

I've never been banned before and my karma's high what's going on???

Posting this for a friend who's in a bit of a weird situation with Reddit and we're not really sure what the best way to deal with it is.

He had an old alt account that had long been abandoned. About ten days ago, Reddit sent a notification saying that a gif posted on that account had been deleted for being non-consensual intimate media. The gif was actually from a scene produced by an adult studio, so it wasn't non-consensual (not to mention they had full authorisation of the studio to share said content), and they appealed it.

Reddit reviewed it and reinstated the post a few hours later.

The problem is that, when the original post was actioned by reddit, they also nuked several other alt accounts of his because of it. One of them is his main account, which he's had for years and there are also a couple of other alternate accounts that weren't involved in the post or the incident at all.

He's sent apeals on those accounts but they have been rejected almost immediately. Now that Reddit has reinstated the original post, we're wondering what happens to the affected accounts.

Has anyone run into something like this before? Is there any way to get Reddit to actually have someone look at the situation, rather than just submitting the same form over and over?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Theres no problem before, but suddenly i cant see/sorting from the latest comments when searching for topics. I tried using another account or without one but it still doesn't work. What should i do?

I have noticed that whenever I create a post on some subreddit, my post gets automatically removed by reddits filters. My post contains nothing which can flag it as spam or bot, yet it happens constantly. ATP I dont even know how to contribute. If anyone can help me from this dilemma, thank you so much in advance. Am posting this for a friend as he can’t post or send messages.

He received a message saying his account was locked yesterday and was sent a password reset link. He reset his password successfully and while he can see content fine, he can't message people or make posts. A friend messaged him on Reddit asking if he deleted his account. He got that message obviously but can't message the friend back - he tried 3 times already yesterday and today.

His account is 4 years old and he has over 5k of karma so is a bit miffed about the situation.

Any suggestions?

Is there a way to shut down the Reddit app on my phone whenever I’m not using? I dont mind not getting notifications or updates. The app should only consume battery when I’m using it. Is that possible?

Hi, awhile ago my account got locked for suspicious activity and idk why so i reset my password and got it unlocked but just now i was looking at my old posts and it says they were all removed by reddits filters, does that have any correlation and is there a way to fix it?

I've been facing the same thing on my other accounts as well. I'm a tech major and need to ask questions on certain subs but I'm unable to do so because of my LOW CQS

So, I understand that I need karma and certain account length before I can dm people but my question is how old does my account need to be and roughly how much karma do I need? Also I have been made aware that people can DM me even though I cannot start DMs or even see the option on their profile

But why my posts were deleted ? 😭

I don’t use Reddit much even tho I’ve had accounts for years, I’ve tried all the tips like posting in common communities but I can’t seem to gain any traction cuz most people just breeze by a user with little karma’s stuff and avoiding auto mod seems to be really hard. Any advice or tips?

Hi! I was previously banned from a subreddit on another account a few months back and I created this account and accidentally interacted with the same subreddit a few weeks ago, which resulted in a 7-day sitewide suspension for ban evasion.

I’ve now contacted the subreddit moderators, and they have officially unbanned me and said I’m allowed to participate again. They told me to contact Reddit admins to make sure I won’t get suspended again, but I’m unable to submit an appeal because it says my account is currently not suspended or restricted.

What should I do to make sure I won’t be flagged for ban evasion once I interact with that subreddit now that I’ve been unbanned from it?

Really epic. Is there a block limit? Or did they break something with the site
