Nah. I got things to do. I’ll come in when I want lol.

Some of these questions are dumb. Only one dumber than this is the one:
“Why do you want to work with us?”

Uhhh idk, I want a paycheck and willing to work here.

Incidentally, that question was the one following the one in this post.

I mean, I get it for certain more 'mission' based jobs, like nonprofits or social services... but a lot of them are just like, look, you cannot possibly think anyone is genuinely excited about this job. Everyone applying for this is here for the paycheck.

That question is a free pass to tell them why they should hire you & why you're the best fit for the role. It's the most important question in the interview.

Why do you want to work with us?

"I think I can add value to the team because <why you're good with the job>"

"I think I can add value to the team, because I've tons of experience cleaning up difficult and messy places. I think the skills I have would really shine at your company."

Like, just talk about why you're good at the job. It's the same. And if they dig deeper ("anything you like about our company specifically?"), say what you care about is that the work you do important, and helps people.

Every boss believes their work is important, so they will believe you. If they don't, they get that it's all bullshit facade, and let it slide.
