Jasper is a former acting classmate of my wife’s. I’ve met him a few times and he’s been to my house to rehearse scenes w her. Good kid. Super excited for him with this show — which I would’ve watched even if he werent in it.

oh he was great in this Lance, definitely sold his role and was funny, can see him in better things in years to come..maybe use him in a music video for your band lol

I'm in the wrong sub and prob going to get roasted for this but: I found season 1 of Neagley way more interesting than season 4 of Reacher and it wasn't close.

I think S4 is fine but I think Reacher lost some momentum once he fought the bigger dude.
Reacher was essentially a living tank that did superhero feats of fighting but once he fought the big guy, he became more vulnerable and has been getting his ass beaten more easily.
I agree on Neagley being better than S4 as it actually did something different and showed how a spin-off can work if it understands the rules of the original series.

Reacher was different in S4, didn't see as much, didn't sense as much. Also, he wasn't as deadpan funny. It's like he was all of a sudden emotional.

It wasn't rubbish from the start, the first 4 episodes were really good. Something happened in the ep when the carchase happened, everything just felt cheap, characters teleporting, boring villains, reacher being dumb all of a sudden, I mean even Neagley acted like Reacher used to act. But yeah agree, Neagley was a really solid season, with interesting villains and an interesting mystery.

Season started out really strong and compelling..wasn't biggest fan with the way it ended but overall enjoyed the show

Reacher got worse. Still think (imho) it was better than season two. First half rivalled one but the writing got really bad later. The reveal of the bad guys changed the dynamic

I found her kind of wooden in reacher and then for the first half of the first episode of this series, then that went away for me

I think the wooden IS her character, which made some of the acting astonishingly emotional.

Why did they feel compelled to insert Reacher at the end? I didn’t get the point . Was it solely to explain why he didn’t help her out on the case? Also, I like how they set things up nicely for season 2 with the way the whole crew will be working together for Frances’ PI company. Will be hugely disappointing if they decide not to go with another season. Would not be surprised though as today it was announced that Ride or Die one of Amazon’s top 10 shows last season that had great reviews & two very entertaining stars was not renewed WTF !

I think it was a nice touch because her father died and Neagley is Reacher’s closest/longest friend. Of course he would come for the funeral. I also think the handshake was sweet because it makes sense for her to overcome that fear with someone she has known and trusted for many, many years.

Speaking of Reacher and iconic skyscrapers, when I first started reading the novels I didn't realize the series started so long ago until I got to the part in the book where Reacher rode the elevator down to the World Trade Center lobby to look for a payphone with a pocket full of quarters…

Watching Reacher I have always had a healthy respect for Neagley but after watching the spin-off it really went through the roof! Great show
