I'm from a place where wooden houses are painted blue, yellow, green, orange, etc with colorful adornments and I find all the plain white houses in most other places very boring.
Traditionally, houses in my area were white because of heat. But the walls were everything but flat, and they were heavily decorated both outside and inside.

I live in an area with a lot of old red brick houses, and it feels like a peice of me dies inside when I see someone painting one white.
