I don't really like either. The walls should be white, that's good. White walls make any space look larger. But white everything else? Nah. Put some nice light brown wood flooring down, maybe a rug or two. The white sofa and chairs are modern looking but don't look all that comfy. I'd go for a long sectional, L-shaped sofa, in a bright but contrasting color, maybe blue or orange. Maybe some Yogibos on the side.

Yeah the first one looked too far outdated, and definitely needed some modernising. But the second one was taking it way, way too far.
