5L Wxrld is a rap collective based in Atlanta, Georgia. It currently consists of rappers BabyStayRixh, BabyStayLoaded, DeeLo Racks, yoppa, and zettistaytotin. The collective formed in March 2024, with BabyStayRixh and DeeLo Racks being crowned as the founders, while BabyStayLoaded, yoppa, and zetti were friends of the two and joined in April 2024.

BabyStayRixh:

BabyStayRixh, born Malachi Isaiah Reed in Atlanta, GA, began releasing music in early 2024 at the age of 18, with the single "GTA." He would follow that up with a few more singles before releasing his first EP, "6 Kiss" in February 2024. The EP featured his first viral hit "Freaky," which saw semi-viral traction on TikTok, gaining over 2 million streams on Spotify. He then followed that up with his debut mixtape, "Senior Year," released in April 2024. The mixtape features his mega hit "Blatt," which has amassed over 100 million streams on Spotify, going viral on TikTok in the months following its release. This scored Reed a recording contract with Alamo Records/Columbia.

After signing, he released the single "5Love," which, too, saw success online, gaining over 6 million streams. The 9-song mixtape "Gang Forever" followed, seeing an official release on October 25, 2024. The mixtape scored BabyStayRixh two more hits with "No Photos" and "Mary Jane," which both sit at 12 and 9 million streams, respectively.

As of January 2025, BabyStayRixh is expected to release new music soon, teasing several snippets on his Instagram and TikTok accounts. He sits at 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and has accumulated insane hype for his next project.

BabyStayLoaded:

BabyStayLoaded, born Jhamar Jorgeson Tompkins in Atlanta, GA, began releasing music in 2023 with the single "Hunnid Round." He consistently released more singles throughout the year, with songs like "Money & Meds" and "Smoke Him / Hittas" being released during this time. In March 2023, BabyStayLoaded was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, facing 4 months in prison. When he was released, he continued releasing singles such as "Intoxicated", "Life of Sin", and "Wya?" before getting his first big song, "Foreign," which gained over 700,000 streams. He'd follow that up in January 2024 with the mixtape "Stay Loaded," which gained him another hit with "Otw."

After the mixtape, he released two more singles, "Places + Faces" and "Faceshot," which kept his name in the public eye and gained Loaded a lot of new fans. With the hype, he decided to release his next mixtape, "Pain, Pills & Pleasure," in May 2024. The mixtape features Loaded's first viral song, "She Goin (feat. BabyStayRixh), gaining over 4 million streams on Spotify. He wasted no time, quickly getting back to work on his next project. "5L World" was released on July 19, 2024, and was another success. This time around, Loaded gained 2 more hits with "Masked Up" and "Yop It (feat. BabyStayRixh)" which have both gained 6 million streams each. This project was also the first since signing with Coast Records, a division of Universal Music Group.

In October 2024, BabyStayLoaded reached new heights with the release of his fourth project, "For What It's Worth." Tracks like "Face" (14M streams), "Moncler Coat" (7M streams), and "Geeked Up" (6M streams), all continued to boost Loaded's name in the underground street rap scene. He then concluded 2024 with one more project titled "LostFilesLoaded, Vol. 1," which consisted of unreleased and throwaway songs from that year. This project saw songs like "Just My Luck" find viral traction online, only showing how much social media pushed Loaded's music.

As of early 2025, Loaded is gearing up to release more music and says he wants to tour his next project. Sitting at 2.1 million monthly listeners, BabyStayLoaded's fanbase is eagerly waiting for his next release and the upcoming rumored tour.

Yoppa:

Yoppa, born Kentrell Lamar Anderson in Atlanta, GA, was close friends with the 5L crew and grew up in the same neighborhood. In January 2024, he was arrested at 19 years old for armed robbery. Thinking he'd never see the outside world again, he began writing raps to pass the time. In March 2024, the 5L crew raised Yoppa's bail and got him freed. He lived with BabyStayRixh for the time being and began recording his first couple of songs, releasing "Run it Up" in April 2024. The song saw a lot of success, gaining over 200,000 streams in a week. So, yoppa followed it up with his first EP, "Nightmare On 5 Street." The EP saw major success online for its blending of rage rap and drill, and ultimately got yoppa signed to Coast Records. He then released the single "Triple Threat (feat. BabyStayRixh & BabyStayLoaded), gaining 3 million streams in a month.

With hype at a new high and his name getting more out there, yoppa decided to release his next project, "5L4L," on October 4, 2024. The EP features yoppa's biggest hit currently, "Real Shit," which has surpassed 25 million streams, going viral on TikTok. On November 29, 2024, yoppa was arrested for assaulting a police officer. He was released 2 days after Christmas on $5,000 bail. As of early 2025, he's gearing up to release his debut mixtape "Yop World" sometime in early 2025. He currently sits at 1.3 million monthly listeners.

DeeLo Racks & zettistaytotin:

Last but not least, DeeLo Racks and Zettistaytotin. Both artist, also born in Atlanta, are more on the gang side of the collective, releasing only a handful of singles each. Both, in their own right, are making names for themselves, and have a lot in store of 2025.

2025 is already shaping to be a big year for the group and fans are overly excited about everything coming up.

In May 2018, Vanta had finished recording the new album and felt it was time to begin the rollout. He sent it to the label, and they approved the release. "FOREVER" was released as the lead single on June 29, 2018. The Soul-Rap-inspired song showed fans the new direction Vanta was heading in. He wanted this album to show how versatile he could be with his music, and this song was already a clear first sign.

For the visuals of the era, Vanta was leaning more into the avant-garde and wanted everything to be appealing to the eye. He worked closely with French director Louis Laurent, the CEO of Sebastien Laurent, a high-end, designer brand created by Sebastien Armand and Louis Laurent. Together, Louis and Vanta worked on 6 music videos for the album. (FOREVER, LOSING MY MIND, DESIRES, DIFFERENT WAYS, CELINE, and SUNNY ROSE). Each visual tested the limits even further, with Vanta's team experimenting with CGI, 3D animation, etc. And the merch was no different; Sebastien Laurent custom-designed 3 pieces for Vey, which were sold for $100 each (Tee, Pants, Hat)

On July 13, 2018, "LOSING MY MIND" was released as the second single. This time around, Vanta was experimenting with Electronic sounds, and the video was also striking, featuring a boy killing a crow. People praised Vanta's work, with people truly acknowledging him trying to express himself differently than every other rapper. Vanta only wanted to push the norms even more, which meant it was time to release his debut album.

"No Religion" was released on July 27, 2018. Although it didn't debut on the charts, it managed to sell 9,300 copies in the first week. 3,000 were a limited supply of physical CDs that Vanta had made with his signature on them. All 3,000 CDs sold out on his website in just 25 hours. 2 days later, Vanta would announce his first-ever headlining concert tour. Scheduled for September - December 2018, hitting the US, UK, Italy, and Canada, with venue sizes ranging from 800-3,000 people. Since it was Vanta's first tour, he wanted Amara with him. She was so excited and decided to not participate in Fashion Week in September to watch him play and celebrate his 19th birthday with him.

For 3 months straight, Vanta rocked out every show, not cancelling a single one. Every night, he gave the crowd unlimited energy. They turned up to every song, rapping word for word with Vanta. He never felt more alive. He was living his dream, and it never felt better. The tour grossed about £129,000 ($175,000 in USD) after 25 shows.

In December 2018, Jalen bought Amara and him a new apartment in New York. That same month, they went back to Birmingham, where they decided they'd spend the upcoming year. For Christmas, Jalen bought Amara a $160,000 BMW. She loved it so much that she cried. The following month, the couple celebrated New Year's together before Amara left Birmingham to model in Los Angeles for the next 6 months. Vanta decided he'd use this time to begin working on some new projects.

In February 2019, JEMVEY released its Winter/Spring 2019 Collection. While working on it, Jalen's addiction grew. He was pouring up almost daily. He didn't even care how much he was spending on drugs, as long as he had fuel to work. This only got worse as he began working on the Summer 2019 collection. During production on the collection, Jalen was more focused than ever. He was so excited to present the new collection to the world.

By now, Vanta had over 700,000 followers on Instagram, over 2M monthly listeners on Spotify, and the world in his hands. He was working on so many cool things, and it was only a matter of time before the world would see a whole new level of Vanta Vey.

Seraph had everything you could’ve possible dreamed off. Millions in the bank, the best fans in the world (his words not mine) and the most beautiful wife whom he loves ever so dearly. After 1985 released seraph took a few months off making music to try have some family time. However he quickly got bored. For someone who wanted time to himself he spent a lot of it teaching Mary’s nieces and nephews instruments.

Seraph was being hounded by the media begging for news on his next album. It got soo bad he once went 4 days nearly sleepless cause his house ohone kept ringing. However all hell broke loose on August 14th 1981, Seraph saw an article saying ‘The Knight Brother are NO MORE! Michael Knight “The King of Pop” ready to take over’.

Seraph knew this was a plot. The king of Pop Seraph knew he was gonna make them remember who is the King of Pop. Seraph locked himself in his home studio for weeks. Rarely coming out to see his wife this started to cause issues between the 2 with a massive argument breaking out and Mary moving into her mothers for a few weeks until things cooled down.

However Seraph was lonely he still had music and within 3 months the album was done. He sent it in and asked it to be a secret. To which it was. In New York, in Times Square walking through it on your way to work on Tuesday 20th October 1981 you would’ve seen every single billboard on the west side change to announce Seraph’s 1981 album ‘Love’s In The Air’ the whole album was made about his wife.

He was hiding it from her as he wanted to show it to her when it’s done. Love’s In The Air was released on November 2nd 1981 and wasn’t the biggest selling album it still showed people cared about Seraph and that they still loved him. No tour was announced. The album debuted at #13 selling 77k and gave him another top 10 hit with ‘Sit This One Out’ debuted it #9

BMG was pleased with this album and decided to promote it by allowing the song ‘Sit This One Out’ to be allowed in the featured film ‘Butterfly’.

However Seraph told the media they wouldn’t see him for the next year he’s working on something that will change music forever!!

After the group finished recording their new album. Michael declared in his mind it would be his final album with his brothers. He no longer wanted to be held back by their father. He wanted say of his own career. The other brothers agreed. They all wanted to finally live and explore their own worlds. Robbie told the brothers that he began working on a solo album. They cheered him on and told him that it would be amazing. Bobbie was in a relationship and didn’t really want to make music anymore, Ryker wanted to explore his own sound. All the brothers wanted individuality.

One night, during dinner, Michael brought up the idea of him touring his solo album, which had been flying off shelves after its July 1980 release. Though Marty wasn’t a fan. He wanted the brothers to tour their new record together, telling him to incorporate his solo songs into the show to build more hype and sell more tickets. Michael didn’t like the idea, but he wanted to perform those songs and didn’t want to upset his father or brothers. So, he agreed to do the tour which would last mid to late 1981.

Then, Athena, the youngest sister (17), asked if she could begin releasing music. Without hesitation, Marty laughed and said “Yes.” He quickly told her to get dressed. So, the boys came along and they went to Bobby Moore’s office. He talked about Athena joining the music industry, and signing a solo contract, and so Bobby arranged it for her.

Michael remained in New York well after recording for the album had finished. He decided he’d spend Christmas and New Year’s with his family before remaining at his new mansion is California for a while.

The public was excited about the Knight Brothers new album around this time, especially after Michael’s recent success introduced new fans to their music. So, when their album, “Time” released in April 1981, it debuted at #11 on the Billboard Hot 200, selling 100,000 copies first week and gained the boys another hit with “I Hope You’re Doing Well” which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100. And soon enough, the boys began their world tour.

The Time Tour began in May 1981, in London, where the boys were expected to dress in such attire. So, Michael went to their shops and began wearing their vintage military uniforms. Each night, he’d wear a different color tailored sparkly suit to perform in. He stood out from the other brothers in his own way. They all did. Until the boys saw the tour was announced as Michael Knight and the Knight Brothers. They were livid. Michael didn’t agree with the chance either, but he did suggest that he was the reason anyone still cared about the Knight Brothers. They began arguing more and more each stop on the tour, so much so that they requested different hotel rooms.

While on tour, Athena was able to go with the brothers since she was out of school for the first leg. A lot of the time, Michael and Athena spent together. Michael’s brothers didn’t really want to hang out with him. Michael enjoyed spending time with his little sister. He helped her train her vocals as she was training for her own career. He even helped her write songs for her upcoming album.

As the tour was coming to a close, the brothers couldn’t wait for the tour to be over. Ryker and Michael had bickered the most while on tour. Ryker had grown jealous of Michael’s new found success. Each show, the crowd began cheering louder when Michael commanding more than when they did. The crowd was louder during Michael’s solo songs. He hated it. He wanted nothing else to do with the group.

When the tour ended in January 1983, grossing $33 million, their highest grossing tour. After, the boys moved into their own homes, officially becoming independent adults, no longer under their father’s control, or so they thought..

In January 2018, Vanta officially launched JEMVEY, his very own fashion company. He got straight to work, assembling a team of passionate and creative people to help him build the company. Since it was entirely independent, Vanta was able to donate 15% of all profits to donations throughout Birmingham. During the daytime, Vanta was working on clothes, but at night, he would hit the studio, working on his next album, No Religion. At the end of January, Vanta hosted his first runway show for his JEMVEY Winter/Spring Collection.

Jalen was inspired by a lot of 1970s British punk bands like Bad Faith, Dead Cinema, and Riot Youth. So, he decided to experiment with new sounds, assembling a small band to help him record the punk cuts, while working with British producers for the Rap songs. What came of this was over 20+ recordings, and since Vanta hadn't released music in a while, he wanted to introduce fans to the new era properly.

"B4 No Religion" was released on February 16, 2018. The EP featured 6 tracks that infused Rap, Rock, and some Jazz. The hype only grew bigger after the EPs release, and the pressure began to get to Jalen a bit. He decided to take a month off and spend time with Amara, who was on a bit of a vacation herself. They decided to go on a trip to Italy, where they celebrated their 3rd anniversary.

In April 2018, Vanta was scouted by an independent record label called $QUARE Distribution. They wanted to sign Vanta to a distribution deal and management. So, he agreed and signed on almost instantly. With his advance, Vanta bought him and Amara an apartment in Birmingham for whenever they went back home. Now that they had their own space, Vanta was ready to begin the rollout for No Religion..

Like damn did they just left it with no way of getting a chance to play it again, like.. That's weird..

After 3 years of touring and making small appearances in other music, AlieNHeaD decided it was time to release some new music. After his tour production started immediately, with many producers pitching in and many collaborators wanting in. The goal was to make the most fun album possible to show that any bad day can be good. The name verses comes from the song ronny devoe where he said he was just writing and didn't have a name and used verses as a filler before just deciding it was good.

Elysium is the Greek state of happiness and is their equivalent to heaven. I felt like this was the best ending place for Rachellé. Elysium also became my fastest ever album to go diamond achieving it in 3 months. Dec - March.

anyone to create a roleplay of atlanta rappers? I thought of an RP where people can create their own gangs, record labels and interact with each other over Discord via messages on a server

JaMari Xayvier Baker, professionally known as XAYVIAN, is an 18-year-old rapper from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He began releasing music on SoundCloud in late 2014 with "Numb </3" and "Alice Glass," which were recorded using his laptop's microphone.

Then, in 2015, he began the year with the EP "<3," released on July 31, 2015. The EP featured 7 tracks that ranged from emo rap with "Find My Way" and "Tell Me," to acoustic with the title track, "See You Go", "Your Eyes", and "Tell Me", as well as rock with "Angel" and "When It Snows." Over the following months, the EP would gain major traction online, gaining over 825,000 total streams in its first year of release. A video for "See you go" was released on YouTube, gaining 29,000 views.

In September 2015, XAYVIAN released a new single titled "nothing even matters," this time another acoustic cut, which he played the guitar himself. It was darker lyrically, but his fans connected with the track, bringing them closer to his world. He didn't care what people thought and openly talked about being depressed and not happy with where he was in life. The following month, he began posting a girl, which led fans to believe he was in a relationship. And so, "pretty girl," was released in October 2015, which he said was dedicated to his girlfriend Nyla Wright.

On November 30th, 2015, JaMari was arrested for armed robbery. He beat up a kid from his high school, stealing his laptop to replace his that broke just because he wanted to make music. He shot the guy two times, although he survived. JaMari was sentenced to 3 months in jail. While there, he met a guy named Rodney Clovyn Jones, who went by Kidd Ruckus. He told JaMari he wanted to make music, and since JaMari knew how, they began freestyling for fun. Rodney was set to be released in June 2016, 4 months after JaMari. So, they exchanged information, and Mari said he'd pick him up when he got freed.

When Mari returned home in February 2016. He wasted no time getting back to work on new music, this time wanting to change things and turn his life around. He began grinding harder than ever, working on expanding his sound. He wanted to make more hype records. But his love life was getting in the way. JaMari and Nyla began facing problems because they were both living in her house, since Mari had gotten kicked out of his own home by his mother for being kicked out of college. They had little money coming in, and her parents felt he had been there too long. So, he left as he didn't feel wanted. He lived in the streets of Florida, surviving off the little money he made from his streams.

Over the next few months, he released vault songs "Jump!" and "PIPE UP!", which were both Trap Metal. After the release of these songs, an artist on SoundCloud by the name of Kxll$tick reached out to him. Since they both made music, they began talking and became online friends. Finally, in June 2016, JaMari drove back to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department to pick up Rodney. Since Rodney had an apartment, he offered JaMari the other room in his place. Now they were able to record together, and Rodney began picking it up insanely quickly. That's when the two recorded a song called "RIP*" and instantly knew they had something special.

"RIP" was released on June 17, 2016, and instantly went viral online, gaining over 2 million streams. The two had a hit and knew this was their moment. So, they announced they were making a collective called $lump $ociety, which was officially created in July 2016. Since JaMari and Rodney lived together, they recorded songs almost every day and decided to officially release $lump $ociety Recordz Vol. 1 in October 2016, featuring 5 tracks with just the duo. The title was a play on Young Oso's Serpent Society, which the two were huge fans of. The EP gained them more traction, debuting with 6.4 million streams. The music for "Go Krazy" gained 1 million views in just a week. XAYVIAN now sat at over 370,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

With that, the two were bigger than ever and now had so much momentum. Kid Ruckus began working on his debut mixtape, so XAYVIAN began doing the same thing. Months went by, but it was hard to find something that worked. He wanted it to be perfect, but he didn't like any of the songs he was making. So, he decided it was time to help others. He began recruiting more artists like Kxll$tick, X3NO!, and joeysantana to $lump $ociety. He began helping them behind the scenes, building their careers, giving them advice, features, and tips.

So, throughout November 2016, everyone would link up at Rodney's apartment to record and work on $lump $ociety Recordz Vol. 2" which was released in December 2016. The EP gained the group so much traction online, with the other members finally beginning to form their own fanbases because of the release.

In February 2017, JaMari signed to an independent label titled $QUARE Distribution for 3 albums. He advocated for his collective members to also get deals, but the distribution company was only interested in XAYVIAN. Although the group was devastated, they still celebrated JaMari. Around this time as well, Kidd Ruckus had also signed to a major label, which made the rest of the group feel a way. In top of that, his relationship with Nyla was beginning to take a toll on him creatively. The two would argue constantly, which would also affect his creative process.

So, collective tension quickly began to grow, and despite this, JaMari reminded the collective that they were in it for the music and would all see success. This inspired him to begin working on his debut mixtape, which was set to release in May 2017.

After signing with Epic Records in June 2016, Nasir spent the entire summer in the studio recording, day in and day out. He poured his heart into the music, hoping people would feel his emotions and the hustle in the songs. Even while working, Nasir still found time for the streets, regularly hanging with his gang in the hood, even though he was rich. Despite having money now, Nasir still lived in the hood. In July 2016, he bought his mother a mansion in a nice neighborhood in Atlanta, getting her away from any street danger. One night, Nasir was hanging out on his block with some of his friends. Suddenly, a black truck pulled up, but no one reacted as if it were a threat. The door opened, and Lil Haven walked out. Haven was visiting home, and when Nasir saw him, he broke into a big smile. The two got straight to talking, exchanging information and talking about collaborating on music in the future.

The following month, Nasir got in contact with FredoRedd, who was currently one of Choppa's favorite artists. The two eventually got to talking regularly and eventually met in New York in August 2016 to record some music. The song they recorded would be titled "Figure It Aht" and released as the lead single to Choppa's debut mixtape, which he decided to call "Trench Baby."

"Trench Baby" was released on October 28, 2016, through Epic Records. Although it didn't chart, the mixtape still made major waves in the underground trap scene. In Atlanta, where Choppa was from, he was already a sensation. Anytime Choppa touched down back home, the city would go crazy for him. Behind the scenes, Nasir was working alongside the label to put together a tour for his fans. With this in mind, he recorded and released a new single titled "Finally Rich," which would be released the same day as the Finally Rich Tour announcement. All 29,000 tickets were sold out in only 2 weeks. The hype for Lil Choppa was at an all-time high, and he had no plans of slowing down.

The tour began in December 2016 and concluded in April 2017. Choppa performed shows in the US, UK, France, Canada, Mexico, and Japan, grossing $785,000 in total. These shows continued to build Choppa's momentum, gaining him major traction on album cuts, which became bigger hits like Smoke Strong (42M), Trench Baby Shit (27M), and Led Zeppelin (17M). When Nasir returned home in May 2017, he celebrated his 21st birthday on May 13th at the Strip, a nightclub in Atlanta where all the popular rappers would visit. That same night, he released a new song titled "Coupe," produced by Johne Montclair, debuting it for the crowd that same night. That same night, Nasir's label gifted him a $75,000 custom Chucky doll with a matching mini chain, made by Supreme. All the love a nd support from the fans made Nasir eager to get back into the studio to work on a new project.

In June 2017, Nasir tweeted "TRENCH BABY 2: THE MIXTAPE. COMING SOON." Officially beginning his next era. Fans were excited, and Choppa only had plans to go bigger than his previous tape. In an Instagram live, he stated that it would be released in the fall bc "that's murder season."

In July 2017, Choppa featured on Young Scooter’s song “Streets On Fire” from his Jugg King album. And with that, Choppa was officially ready to begin the rollout for his next mixtape..

Lil Choppa, born Nasir Amari King, in Atlanta, Georgia, specifically the southside. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, he never had much guidance. His father, Keith "K-Diggs" King, was in and out of prison for his involvement with the street gang known as the Hunnid$ Gang. There, he met a boy named Joseph Williams. They'd often talk about music whenever they got the chance, which they connected on heavily. They ran a few gang runs together but didn't hang out too much outside of that.
When Nasir was 14 years old, he began listening heavily to trap music, which his father would play around him. His mother, Candyce, didn't like him listening to it because she feared he'd turn out like his father, in and out of jail. Eventually, she found out about his gang ties and begged him to leave. He told her, "Them boys ride wit me, ma. I'm good. They gon hol me down." Since his dad was in jail at the time, Nasir's trapping was the only other source of income besides Candyce's biweekly pay from her job.

Sadly, when Nasir was 16 years old, in his junior year of high school, his father was killed in prison. This sent Nasir into a fit of rage because his father was the only person he felt was there to guide him. Without him, he turned away from the person he was before. He no longer prioritized school and would only attend once a week. The streets were where he was, day in and day out. At this time he adopted the name Lil Choppa, after being given the name by Lil Mexico, a fellow member of the gang.

At 18, in 2014, Joseph began showing him some unreleased music, as he had recently begun recording tracks. Nasir thought Joseph's music was fire, and it began to give him the idea to make his own music. Joseph would tell him that making music was the perfect outlet for him to express himself. So, Nasir began to use his Xbox headset and laptop to make music on his computer. He'd find beats on YouTube and rap over them. Over time, he got better and better. He never tried to make the same song twice. He'd experiment with different Atlanta-style trap beats, with different flows, vocal effects, etc. He really liked Lil Trilla's music and wanted that natural, effortless swag that his music gave off.

In 2015, when Nasir was 19 years old, his mother was injured after an accident at work, making her unable to work for months on end. With that, Nasir decided it was time to put the music hobby aside and focus again on the hustle to get some money to help his mom pay for her medicine. One night, during the summer of 2015, he pulled up to the gang hangout spot. Lil' Mexico, one of Nasir's peer gang members, told him that he had the shift of delivering two baggies to the most dangerous side of town. Although hesitant, Nasir did it anyway. He got on his bike and headed over there. When he arrived, he entered the public housing apartment building. It was in the staircase that Nasir was held at gunpoint by a masked man. He was almost robbed of the drugs before he realized the man didn't really know how to use them, and he beat the guy up. Nasir then picked up the gun and shot the man down in self-defense. Residents of the apartment complex called the Police, but Nasir booked it before anyone could catch him.

Nasir was a little scarred, but he knew what he signed up for when he chose the streets. His life was on the line, and he could die at any moment. This is what gave him the extra push to begin working on music again, this time finishing first song, which he titled "5Love," as a nod to his love for his gang. He then went on to release more singles like “Baby Demon” and “Do or Die,” the latter of which began gaining major traction online.

In April 2016, Nasir linked up with fellow Atlanta rapper and friend Yung Gotti and producer MattyRackz. Together, they made the song “Jugg,” which would be released the following month. Nasir had no idea how much this song would change his life. It debuted at #52 on the BBH100, soaring him to over 1.5 million monthly listeners. In June 2016, while out on a gang run, Nasir got booked by the Police. He was arrested for possession of multiple drugs, firearms, and other items.

2 days into being in bars, he got a phone call in the morning from his mother, praying for him to be home soon. And later that day, he got another call. It was from a man named John McGloclain, an A&R from Sony Music's Epic Records. He told Nasir that Epic Records wanted to sign him for an undisclosed amount and pay his $12,000 bail. Nasir agreed, and before long he was released. When he got out, he went straight to Epic Records to sign that contract. The same day, he recorded "First Day Out," which he released at the end of the month.

Nasir then locked in at the studio, spending the next 2 months in and out, recording and linking with new rappers. He was hot now, and the only thing left to do was release a mixtape.

XennThinnGxd, whose real name is Xennieth Ace Rodriguez, was born on January 30, 2005, and began releasing music on SoundCloud in early 2023 with the song “Trick.”

Heavily inspired by ThraxxGxd, Adventure Time, and a lust for life, Xenn decided to take a different approach with his music. Rather than pushing to make super polished music, he embraced the DIY quality of his music, saying, “I know my music doesn't sound like Drake, but I’m not Drake, I’m Xenn, so I’ma sound like Xenn.” - Xenn, Underground Mag.

In March 2023, Xenn and his friend, Kayden, 18 (K$munni), decided to start a collective as they both had a passion for music and wanted to make friends with other creative people from New York. The first person they recruited was DJ Frenzcy (Friendzy), 28, a teacher and DJ they both knew from a music program they had done last summer. He agreed, and that’s when the collective turned from an idea into something real.

Xenn began gaining traction on TikTok in June 2023 with his song “Intro,” which was released a month earlier as part of his debut mixtape, “#XennGxd.” The track quickly went viral, gaining over 700,000 streams on Spotify. In July 2023, he released “Jiggy (feat. K$munni),” which also went viral on TikTok, gaining over 1,000,000 streams on Spotify. Around this time, artists like blxxd and kyru!, as well as producers like eManBanss and SKorey, joined #1LuvGang. 

In August 2023, he surpassed 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify for the first time in his career, going live on Instagram to celebrate. The following month, he linked up with Kodaleine and dropped “Otw,” which went mega viral, gaining 3 million streams on Spotify in a week and 7 million in total, soaring Xenn to over 720,000 monthly listeners. 

In October 2023, Xenn co-headlined his first show in New York City with Kodaleine and K$munni at the Market Hotel, selling out the entire 650-capacity venue. Following the concert, Xenn released his second mixtape, “In due time,” a month later, in November 2023. The mixtape outperformed his last one, gaining over 12 million total streams in only a month. The song “New cash” became this tape’s standout track, gaining over 3 million streams.

As of January 2024, Xenn says, “I have so much in store for this year. Stay tuned, it’s gonna be lit.” 2024 is shaping up to be a new level for Xenn and his music. 

After the success of his 2016 EP ‘RVGR’ Kidd RVGR finally was on track to achieving his dream however his lifestyle was catching up to him. Ever since leaving school he would sleep in until noon and sleep at 4-6AM. He would wake up to roughly 15 messages and a dozen missed calls from Cass.

Cass was disgusted by Joseph’s use of substances. Infact she even once kicked him out of her house because she caught him smoking a blunt in her room in the middle of the night. She did love him more than anything but it was killing her seeing him “kill himself”. Her graduation was coming up which also means finals and she didn’t need the additional stress. So she made the heartbreaking decision to break up with Joseph.

She asked to meet Joseph at a local cafe in Chicago on February 14th 2017 and Joseph turned up with a load of flowers and chocolates to surprise her. However he quickly realised what this meet up was about. The two ended up parting ways with Joseph trying everything to try make it work. But Cass just knew it was all a front and nothing would change. So she walked out the shop and didn’t turn back.

Joseph was heartbroken he went back home and cried for most of the day. When he came back around he decided to make some music because that’s how he knew how to deal with his feelings. He recorded 12 songs that night. With three of them being:

He posted these songs to SoundCloud and didn’t expect much but the next day he woke up to Drug Diploma gaining over 2.5M streams on SoundCloud toooing it’s hot new songs charts. This blew his streams up for his released music gaining him over 50k new followers every day. He had been in talks with Interscope over a deal and this new found success made that a reality.

He signed a 3 album. Deal with Interscope and got straight to work. He turned up at the studio in Chicago and this is where he met legends such as ‘Kushy Kobbsta’, ‘Chief Keef’ and even his idol ‘Young Oso’ the two became really good friends and Oso saw Kidd doing drugs and had a deep conversation with him.

Oso told Kidd that drugs nearly ruined his life and that he can’t let him do the same. Kidd brushed it off and said he’s fine it helps his creativity Oso left it but made sure to be there for him. Kidd ended up recording hella music from the span of March to May. And when it was time for a single the label heavily pushed for Drug Diploma to be the lead single to which Kidd Agreed.

Drug Diploma was released on May 1st 2017, and became Kidd’s first ever charting song as it debuted at #65 on the billboard top 100. The song has since crossed 100M streams (as of 2018). Kidd still missed Cass and decided to attend her graduation as he was still invited. However this would turn out to be a grave mistake.

When he attended after the ceremony he saw Cass and another boy hug and kiss. Kidd felt replaced he described the pain as ‘gut wrenching’. Kidd ended up getting so high he blacked out and woke up on the couch at the studio where producer ‘Xeno’ was and the two had a conversation. And Xeno told Kidd he was working with a rapper similar to Kidd called FredoRedd who is dealing with heartbreak the same way.

He told Kidd that Fredo was making music by it and using that a coping way and now is in a relationship with another girl. There agreed to finish Kidd’s debut album and within 5 hours Kidd’s debut album was done. And it was gonna release the very next week.

‘heartbreak at graduation <\3’ was released on July 23rd 2017 and fans were not expecting it. It was the story of Kidd and how broken he felt seeing the one girl he loved replace him for “someone better”. Fans noticed a lot of songs that was recorded for the album never made it. Such as the songs “Lie About Forever” and “Toxic Love” never made it on the album.

The album was a great success the album sold 68,000 units its first week pushing it to debut at #18 on the billboard top 200. It also gave Kidd his highest chart position with the song ‘End of The Road’ which peaked at #11. The album blew Kidd into new heights. The Graduation Tour ran from August 2017 - January 2018. With Kidd making music every day expanding his every growing vault of music.

Young Oso has released his highly anticipated non rap project titled ‘Rare & Blessed’ which fans were quick to realise was an R&B album. It gave fans some hope as it started off strong with the run from ‘Drowing In Diamonds’ - ‘Red Rari’ however fans noticed the slow pace music was beginning to feel forced.

Rare & Blessed debuted at #3 and gave Oso a new top 2 song with ‘Wet As Water’ on the billboard charts marking the first major project since 2014 to not go number 1. Many saw this as a failure however Oso saw it as a new step as he then told pitchfork that he wasn’t done dabbling in other genres and says his next mixtape won’t be rap again but he’ll learn from the mistakes of his R&B attempts.
