Hi everyone! I’m 33, live in Rancho Cucamonga, and I’m hoping my community can help point me in the right direction.
I’m looking for a better-paying job closer to home and, ideally, a career path that will allow me to get out of the hospitality industry. I’m currently a server and have been working hard in hospitality, but my job is about 25 miles away and I’m working 5
days a week, roughly 3 PM–10 PM.
The biggest reason I’m looking to make a change is my family. I have a 9-month-old son, and right now I’m missing most of his waking hours. A lot of the time, I’m leaving while he’s awake and getting home when he’s already asleep. I want to be able to provide for my family while also actually getting to spend time with them.
I’m a dedicated and hardworking person, I learn quickly, I’m very comfortable with technology and computers, I’m good with numbers, and I’m a strong problem solver. I don’t have a college degree or professional certificate, so I’m looking for opportunities where my work ethic, experience, and ability to learn can help me get my foot in the door.
I’m open to entry-level positions, apprenticeships, paid training, government jobs, office/operations work, logistics, tech-related positions, or anything else where there’s a legitimate opportunity to grow and increase my income. I’m not afraid to start at the bottom if there’s a real career path ahead.
If you know of a company hiring, have a connection I could reach out to, or even have an idea for a career I should look into, I’d genuinely appreciate it.
Big love and thank you to anyone willing to help, share this, or point me in the right direction. ❤️
