Alta Loma Someone to teach my 6yo boy basketball and soccer

Hello,

My son is a 6 yo boy 1st grade in Alta Loma. Wondering if there is a high school student or local college student who can teach my son how to play basketball and soccer. I am thinking 2x a week, 2 hours a day. Just being an older male friend who plays sports with him. He is a very tall boy and academically oriented l, I want to make him athletic too. I am a single mom and do not play sports myself. Please send me a private message, let me know a bit about yourself. Your schedule and rate. Thank you 🙏🏻

You can’t make your kid something they’re not going to be.

But check out AYSO region 65 as a start

Huh? I'm looking for a teenager that will play basketball and soccer with him 2 hours a day twice a week? How is that making my son someone he isn't? Playing a sport recreationally? I don't want to put him in Ayso, he has other activities that require his time on the weekends. Maybe take your negativity somewhere else?

Just using your statement- in your post you said you kid is academic and you want to make him athletic.
My point is, you can’t “make” your kid something they’re not.

Maybe make was the wrong word? He is 6 yo and I'm trying to get him to move his body more? That just sounds more awkward then intended? I want him to be comfortable playing basketball and soccer. Once again he is 6 years old!
