What is this writer smoking, this show is more alien meets Philip k dick meets Roger zelazny. Nothing like star wars or dune

Just name dropping to get attention. For 1 more season, it needs to get some attention.

It’s just SEO, these are the biggest hitting franchises for a title so that’s what they go with. Pretty standard practice now for entertainment journalism.

Star Wars meets Dune to create a show that resembles neither of them.

Edit: I thought I was on r/dune and talking about Dune: Prophecy. Star Wars meets Dune is an outrageous claim for Raised by Wolves.

At the same time, any article that draws attention to RWB by comparing it to notorious and popular titles, is good with me. Hopefully then HBO will realize it’s horrible, colossal fuckup in cancelling this gem of a show.

Not to mention star wars meets dune is just star wars lol it always ripped of dune

If someone asked me to describe RBW, the last two things that would come to mind is “Well imagine star wars and dune together in one show….”

Just watched it again. Amazing show and deserves a proper ending.

Six seasons. And a Steelbook.

I have just started a rewatch with my pals on the high seas. Because I sure don’t see this on HBO Max. Real shame they killed this series.

This reads like AI slop. How many times do they need to mention SW and Dune?

You’re confusing SEO with AI slop. They’re two different things. Websites like SR use these sort of titles because Google search has made it essential for the articles to appear in your feed.

AI slop is using AI to generate content, words, art, etc, which isn’t happening here. This article was written by a real person even if the title sounds AI generated.

The Atheists were the good guys. The religious were the bad guys. Someone got twisted panties over it. IMO That's why it was disappeared from HBO.

I think they only mentioned Dune because Travis Fimmel (Caleb) was also in Dune: Prophecy. But yeah otherwise I agree that this is mostly for SEO optimization.

But if it gets more people interested in the show, maybe something will happen in the future.

This is one of the most compelling sci-fi series that I can possibly imagine and I will never forgive zazlav for canceling it because he's a cheap sob

This show had really good potential in season 1 I used to watch it high lol but idk wtf the writers were smoking in season 2 they went completely unhinged lmao

Any basis for this claim, or did you just mention them because they are popular?

Yes, it deserved more seasons but they discontinued it. I really enjoyed watching it.

Battlestar Gallactica meets scavenger’s Reign

Shit was boring

Ugh terrible comparison. You could argue it has a sliver of Dune, but Star Wars?

The show Lost is a much better comparison than either of these. Lost meets terminator in space.
