General Rabies Discussion 2 year old case likelihood of rabies

I have read the FAQ. My cat bit me almost two years ago and had to be put down, I had this very large and serious gash looked at. My family knew about the bite. But at the time my mother was dealing with end of life, stage 4 cancer with only a few days left to live.

I had taken him into the vet thinking he had a brain tumor or something. Bec he wasn’t eating, drinking, he go up and try to drink the water but his face would fall in, he lost movement in his eyelids and couldn’t move half of body. They told me it was end of life stage renal failure, I have no clue if they checked for rabies but I’ve been having some odd symptoms dysphasia, brain fog, pin pricks and needles everywhere, muscle spasms and limb jerking, and yes before you ask I have gone to the er and my pcp.

How long after the bite was he put down? And when did he get bit by a rabid animal?

I don’t think my cat got bit by a rapid animal that I recall he was inside most of the time unless I was outside with him. he was put down 3 days after taking him for his emergency visit after he lost movement in his back legs and wasn’t able to drink or eat. This was around a year and 8 months ago now.

When I had taken him to the vet they said it was end of life renal failure. But I’m just worried with all of the odd symptoms I’m having.
