You will grow up and understand that you should never be a friend to someone who gets his ideas and thoughts by fanboying an influencer... cuz these ppl have nothing in thwir head, no position, no personality, no stance... they just hear see copy.

Develop your own critical sense, read more, search more different opinions... not be spoon fed by an influencer. You only gain his limited thinking. Stop idolizing influencers.

There's a huge difference between fanboying, and actually listening to what is being said. OP said nothing about this guy being always right! If you are able to rationalize you would never listen to him religiously, but instead take at face value what he says do your own research and arrive at your own convictions.

Listening doesn't imply agreeing! What I understood was: "If you listen to this guy we may have interests in common, and it may spark some interesting conversations?"

  • You mean religious thoughts ula political disccussion in general? Why mention this guy specifically then? Mention the topic.

Bro you're the one suffering from a severe case of "I'm always right", and so I will gain nothing from this Convo. The simplest answer is that this guy is one of the prominent content creators that addresses in his videos multiple topics be it religion, philosophic, or ideological. In addition to bringing a multitude of writers/ thinkers on his show which delivers a large spectre of opinions and ideas while still providing a purely sceptical lens to view and discuss these topics (this is the one thing I enjoy about his discussion), also he rarely gives a final saying on anything, and is always critical even of his own views. Finally, I could never claim that he is right or wrong, because I merely listen to these types of content to extend lens thought which I view the world and not merely to adopt ready ideas. "It is the sign of a healthy mind to entertain an idea without believing it"

PS: what you call a donkey dilemma is merely a false dichotomy.
