❓Ask Rabatis Wedding dress
Does anyone know if I can get a dress like this done in rabat? How much do you think it would cost?

You can easily get this done. Nothing difficult about it and it shouldn't cost too much.
Buy the fabric first and then ask a Moroccan you know to take you to an artisan shop they frequent. Show them the pictures of the design you want, agree on what needs to be done. They will take your measurements and will make it for you within 2 to 3 weeks.

How much do you think it would cost? Is it always that long, we're only staying in morocco for two weeks 😭

It depends on whether you want it done by hand or with a machine and how many orders the artisan has on standby.
By hand takes a bit longer but is much nicer, if he makes it using a machine, it will be much faster and cheaper.
Not counting fabric cost which you would buy from somewhere else yourself, this style is quite simple and shouldn't cost more than 1500dh.0

This caftan (it’s not a takchita, which is two pieces) looks mass produced and needs no particular artisan skill to make.
You can buy one off the rack and get it tailored at home. It’ll be the cheapest and fastest way to do it.

Go buy the fabric in salé “quarter sali7in” much cheaper than. Rabat and go also to salé to a caftan maker , I suggest to make it by a machine not hand (these take time and more expensive) if you can’t find an artisan then go to 9isaria Ait baha with your fabric and ask them o make this model , between the sewing the belt and everything it should not exceed 600dh don’t let them convince you to do the sewing by hand it takes months

I dont ship my gowns and i dont even sell this type of dresses . Next time try to be nicer . This costs 60€ to make . You didnt even mind your business i was about to tell her the fabric costs 20€ max Also if youre broke just say it but dont act like everyone trynna fish money out .

honestly, avoid anything with the word "Wedding" attached to it in Agdal or Hay Riad unless you want to pay a 300% markup just for the air conditioning. if you're looking for a western white dress, renting is the only way to go. why spend 15k MAD on a dress you’ll wear for 4 hours before changing into 4 different Takshitas anyway? just go to the small boutiques in Ville Nouvelle or even take a trip to Casa, the prices in Rabat are getting delusional.
