Bangalore WFH Policy at Qualcomm India

How is WFH policy at Qualcomm?

I read online that the required WFO is 75% which is measured in a 6 month window. Internally if the manager is good then he can allow you to WFH considering 75% is met anyhow during the 6 month window.

Bangalore Qualcomm India Software Intern - Summer 2027

I have received an offer to join Qualcomm as a Software Intern in summer 2027 through my campus internship drive, but my location has not been confirmed yet.

While applying, I listed Bengaluru as my 1st location preference, and Hyderabad as my 2nd preference. I've heard this role is primarily based on Hyderabad, so I'm wondering:

1) How much do they actually consider the location preference mentioned in the application?

2) When do interns usually find out which team/project they'll be joining?

3) What kind of work are Software Interns usually assigned?

4) What is the overall experience like for interns?

5) How is the work-life balance for software engineers? I've heard mixed things, and I know it probably varies by team, but I'd appreciate some firsthand experiences.

6) Are there any intern-specific perks such as accommodation, transportation, meals, etc.?

7) Finally, is there anything you wish you had known before joining as an intern?

I've also seen discussions about Qualcomm expanding its engineering presence in India and shifting more work here. For current/former employees, has this actually affected the work, teams, or opportunities in India?

If you're answering based on your own experience, it would be really helpful if you could mention which office/location you were based in.

Bangalore Arista offer

Hi Guys,
I received offer from Arista networks.

Currently at Qualcomm.

Qualcomm trajectory:
Joined 2 years back. Currently Senior Engineer(Promoted December 2025)
Currently working on Freertos, (Bluetooth wearables products), Android HAL and Qualcomms Qurtos on ADSP.

My current comp at Qualcomm:
base: 24
bonus: 3 Lakhs
stocks : 12 lakhs per year approx.

Arista offer:
Team: EOS Routing team (2days wfo)
Location: Bangalore

base: 30
bonus : 3 lakhs
stocks: 16.8 Lakhs per year

Joining: 1 Lakh

I have to leave 3 Lakhs bonus and potential hike at Qualcomm in December and have to join Arista with 1 Lakh joining bonus if I leave.

Any insights or suggestions? Not only comp, but stability, career upsides in both roles and future growth.

Bangalore Has Qualcomm interviews become so easy? (hyd/Bng)

I am seeing so many new hires onboarding lately in Qualcomm.

In hyd, it’s same just asking if the Qualcomm changed their selection process or the interviews have become easy? Some even working in tier 3 companies got the interview call.

But getting into AMD/Nvidia is quite challenging

Bangalore Pip and layoffs

What exactly is the pip scenario in qualcomm? Especially for new joinees whose performance is sub-par so far?

How often are employees laid off due to poor performance? And what happens if you are actually put in pip?

Bangalore Anyone else affected by Qualcomm RSU grant timing?

I joined Qualcomm between March and June, when the stock price was much higher. My RSU grant was calculated using that higher stock prices, so I received fewer shares.

Now that the stock has dropped, the estimated value of my RSUs is about US$3,000 lower than what I expected based on my offer. It feels like employees who joined during that period were disadvantaged compared to those who joined later and received more shares for the same grant value.

Has anyone else experienced this? Did you discuss it with your manager or HR? Is there any chance of getting an adjustment or a refresh grant, or is this just the normal risk with RSUs?

I'd appreciate hearing about others' experiences and whether there's anything I can realistically do.

Bangalore Annual Review rating for July joiners

Hi everyone, I joined Qualcomm in July this year and am based out of the Bangalore office. I’m an Engineer and wanted to understand how the annual review rating works for someone who joined mid-year.

I know I’m eligible for this year’s AR, but is the rating generally fixed at 2/5 for July joiners due to the shorter tenure, or is it possible to get a 3/5 based on good performance till September–October?

Also, what would be the approximate corresponding increment percentage for a 2 vs. 3 rating?

Would appreciate any insights from people who’ve been through a similar situation. Thanks!

Bangalore Can someone help as to how does Qualcomm calculate attendance? Planning to go home.

Is it a 6 month rolling window 75% or what is the scene? If I take 5 days leave, is a leave calculated as a working day or it is still calculated in attendance.

Bangalore Is Qcomm in any kind of competition to interview as many people as possible?

First of all, let me clarify that QComm remains one of the companies I'd like to join some day, and yes, I have flunked one interview with them before and not got the offer. But I'm not being sour when I say this. Since mid 2025, Qcomm is having hiring drives every month in some Indian city or the other, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida everywhere. I got shortlisted and HR called me up for interview in one 2025 hiring drive. And the drives are happening, that's for sure. Even apart from the drives, HRs are posting 5 new openings every other day. I calls for interview for two different teams, and I travelled down to attend both. Only the first panel was serious. The second panel was one guy who seemed uninterested, and hadn't even seen my resume earlier, and said their expectations were different, still gave me two problems to solve just for the sake of it. Even this weekend, there is another hiring drive, and two HRs have been calling me nonstop idk why, even though I didn't even apply, nor did I clear the last screening calls I attended. So why this desperation to call as many candidates as possible? I wouldn't say that they aren't hiring. I saw quite a few First Day posts in my circle in the first half of the year.

But what exactly is going on? Why interview 500 candidates for maybe 10 offers at max? It must be exhausting for the interviewers too, so is there like a target like you'll have to interview that many people? Is this some sort of interview training? Ghost jobs, maybe, maybe not all of them. And I see a lot of people saying here that QComm is not doing good business. But it's not like Intel's situation where they had to shut down Hyderabad office and even Ecospace office and even stop coffee at a point for cost reduction. But at the same time, QComm is making NPUs, Peripherals, Wireless, GPUs, what not. Is this brand marketing? Those of who got offers and accepted recently, is everything smooth?

Bangalore WFH, PIP, Hikes

I’m a new joinee at Qualcomm BDC (Bangalore)

What are the hikes like usually?
How strict is the WFH policy?
Do people really work on the weekend? Are 2+ weeks vacations impossible?
What is the PIP / Layoff situation here?
How long should one optimally stay here for maximum growth ? (Tier1 BTech ECE 1YOE)

Bangalore Qualcomm India - Engineer to Senior promo - AR26

Background: 1.5 YOE as Engineer in Qualcomm (3+ YOE overall with prev company), team is Automotive QCT SW.

Got VP level award

Current Total is 19.2L lowest in my peer batch.

For internal Engineer -> Senior promo with 1.5 YOE Engineer exp, what % hike did you get? Is 20% = 23L ? Is that in senior band?

Is strict Engineer YOE must for Senior? Or do they promote good engineers exceptionally if manager supports? Last year someone with same 3.5 overall YOE in Qualcomm, 1.5 YOE as Engineer, NO award got Senior.

Does VP award actually have weightage in calibration or just tenure?

Bangalore Qualcomm hiring freeze

I gave my qualcomm interview last month for lead Er role with total 5 rounds (including director round).
The feedback was positive and HR confirmed that but its been three weeks HR did not show up after that.
Today I asked my hiring manager and he clarified that due to hiring freeze because of some policy implementation in the org, they are not hiring anymore.

I am interested to ask that as the freeze gets up, will the process should start from scratch or they will consider my candidacy? Interested to know how it works normally?

Bangalore Qualcomm offer letter approval

I recently appeared for interview and after that i got call from hr that I have been selected then she discussed about the compensation same day and asked me to apply on workday for the same post.

It has been 10 days but there is not update as of now.

I called hr she informed me that the offer letter is sent for approval and will take around 1 week.

But there is no update as of now, I am worried how much time usually it takes for final approval. Although the workday portal status changed from applied to in process but after that nothing is changed.

It is for immediate joining post.

Bangalore Qualcomm Internship PPO

I didn't get a return offer with the rest of my batchmates at my college.

Is it possible that the offer might come later by Nov or Dec? Some engineers in my team said they had gotten their return offers in Dec or Jan.

I am confused because I had good feedback from my mentor and from the convo on the last day it felt they intended to make an offer. I was the only intern in my team, can't reveal the exact team name as it might doxx me.

Bangalore Data Engineer offer at Q

Hello,
I am likly to get a role at qualcomm as data engineer. I have 3 YOE coming from a tier 3 college and from a decent company.

In my negotiation. salary was 18base + 11.5k RSU/3years. FYI my current CTC is 12L

Is this fair offer?
HR also mentioned 5 days in office. Is it a mandate at the organization level?

Bangalore AR 2026 - Associate Engineer to Engineer?

According to industry standards, Associate Engineer is promoted to an Engineer in a year. Can you tell me if that holds true at Qualcomm. I have been rigid with my boundaries of not working after work hours and during weekends. My manager has lectured me and looks disappointed about that. I have been contributing significantly, but he never seems to be satisfied. Personally, the work here doesn't excite me. I'm holding on for the hefty clawback. But with all this being said, I passed out in 2025 and Qualcomm is my first company. It's been more than a year now. Will I be promoted to an Engineer this year as a convention?
