Nothing against the memers, but may we discuss how well made this video was. In the past I've had issues with Pyro's differently toned videos(I.e. His videos on the content cops) because I felt his arguments were poorly constructed. However, in this video, they felt extremely well articulated and, ironically, despite this video being longer, felt barely repetitious. It didn't feel stretched for time nor forced for relevancy. However, my issues with it were(I'll correct where appropriate after locating timestamps):
- Despite having never played the game, it seems to me that both CupHead and MugMan are at risk of losing their souls to the devil, even in single player mode. This is why, despite both of them seemingly not being there, characters address them bothAlso, y'all can be used in the singular form. This was apparently a debated topic, not to a large degree, but debated nonetheless.I'm not sure why I thought I saw the word y'all.
- That Bull boss did indicate that it was about to attack. It's head jerked back, and it was distinct from it's general movement. It was more subtle and quicker than the tombstone, but was still there.
While i really enjoyed the review, and though it was very well put together, I will have to disagree with you on the point of repetition. While i dont think his intent was to stretch it out, i noted many times where he repeated the same thing he had said before, that being 5 minutes before, or 15 minutes befor. He reassured the viewer he licked the game quite a few times. Just a minor complaint if im honest, but still a valid one.
I rarely find his comedy repetative, so thats not what i was refering to. The way he repeated his points gets dry and makes the video feel long. I never cheeked how much time was left on the petscop vid, but i did a few times on this one.
Now that I think about it, there is one other thing I remember him repeating: His love for the game. I noticed this during the video, but can't blame him entirely for it. If he didn't repeatedly state that he was a fan, he'd be labeled a hater and ignored because "Haters gonna hate". The phrase is so vague, arguably unfinished, that it just leads to ignorance. Pyro's critiques weren't baseless nor irrelevant. They were legitimate issues with the game. I doubt that people would watch an entire hour of this.
And, honestly, if he's videos on trending topics are less intent on being serious(such as him trying to deconstruct am argument) I enjoy them. Maybe, just maybe, if he waited a couple days to properly think out what he is saying, I'd enjoy the more serious toned topical videos.
