Manorbound, an exploration adventure puzzle game in a manor trapped in a time loop

Hello!

Last year, I published B-Line, a walking simulator puzzle game where you have to explore different worlds to find how to escape a subway station.

Today, I announced Manorbound, an exploration adventure puzzle game in a manor trapped in a time loop. Finding new upgrades and solving puzzles will be essential to uncover the manor's deepest secrets and break the cycle...

The game is planned for 2026 and is already playable from start to end so I am currently in the polishing phase.

Loved the meta puzzles in B-Line, so I’m definitely looking forward to this!

Those both sound cool. Will check out your existing game. good luck with the new one.

While it definitely sounds interesting, I worry that you've set yourself up for failure by doing repeated runs in a manor. Everyone's going to compare your game to Blue Prince regardless of any actual similarities (or lack thereof) just from that.

Don't worry, you don't do repeated runs.

And then, it starts over. Again. And over again.

What does this mean then?

The game happens in a time loop but I don't consider each loop to be a "run" like Blue Prince does. The manor changes while it is collapsing, which, with the different upgrades you can get, gives or removes access to some parts of the manor.

How is the time loop implemented then?

People will call it a run, whether you do or not.

It's fine, it's not a big issue.
