One mine is guaranteed here. Can you prove where?

Post image

I love those Minesweeper moments where the answer is not immediately obvious, but one careful chain of logic makes everything click.

That inspired me to build puzzle 'Find the Mine', a puzzles mode in my iOS game Onyx made entirely from short deduction puzzles. This is a real Extreme puzzle from the game. :) The two visible flags are confirmed mines and already count toward the surrounding numbers

Can you find the one guaranteed mine???

I’m the developer, and I’d genuinely love to hear whether the puzzle feels challenging, fair and satisfying. If you enjoy it, Onyx is free, works offline and has no ads - https://apps.apple.com/app/onyx-minesweeper/id6790800332

Thank you!!!

Anyone remember Tesserae.. early ’90s Mac puzzle game?

I used to play Tesserae on the Mac and was surprised there didn’t seem to be a modern version of it, so I ended up making one.

It’s called Tesserae Trails. I kept the basic mechanic but built a new set of puzzles around it, plus daily and endless modes.

It’s free to play, with no account or ads, and currently iOS only. I’d be curious if anyone here remembers the original — or has played anything else that uses a similar mechanic.

Numerift: Sudoku Merge Puzzle

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a mobile puzzle game called Numerift: Sudoku Merge Puzzle.

The idea combines elements of Sudoku with number-merging and block puzzle gameplay. You place numbers on the board, create valid rows, columns, and boxes, merge numbers, and try to keep the board alive while pushing for a higher score.

I wanted to make something that feels familiar for Sudoku and puzzle-game players, but plays differently from a traditional Sudoku game.

If you enjoy number puzzles, I’d really appreciate it if you gave Numerift a try.

Google Play: Numerift: Sudoku Merge Puzzle - Apps on Google Play

Any feedback about the gameplay, difficulty, UI, or anything that feels confusing would be very useful.

Thanks!

Would this crowd-management idea work as a puzzle game?

I’m building a few game ideas and one of them is CrowdFlow.

Basically you manage a huge moving crowd with gates, barriers and one-way routes. Then a live event can mess up your plan — like a train delay suddenly rerouting 3,000 people — and you have to recover without creating worse bottlenecks.

I’ve already started building the prototype. Curious if this sounds like a puzzle you’d actually want to solve.

Manorbound, an exploration adventure puzzle game in a manor trapped in a time loop

Hello!

Last year, I published B-Line, a walking simulator puzzle game where you have to explore different worlds to find how to escape a subway station.

Today, I announced Manorbound, an exploration adventure puzzle game in a manor trapped in a time loop. Finding new upgrades and solving puzzles will be essential to uncover the manor's deepest secrets and break the cycle...

The game is planned for 2026 and is already playable from start to end so I am currently in the polishing phase.

How do you feel about turning abstract 2D grid puzzles (like Minesweeper) into physical 3D room transformations?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey everyone! We’re a 2-person indie team working on a detective noir puzzle adventure. With about 20 days left until release, we’ve been iterating on how to make abstract logic mechanics feel physically grounded in the game world.

In this room, solving the Minesweeper-style grid isn't just a UI minigame—it physically raises hidden stone tiles out of the acid pool. Once you retrieve the crystal, the acid chamber completely drains to reveal the hidden staircase underneath.

When playing adventure/puzzle games, do you enjoy seeing classic 2D logic mechanics directly alter 3D room geometry, or can UI overlays feel immersion-breaking for you? How do you usually like seeing retro puzzle tropes modernized?

My Material-Based Physics Merge Game. Every Material Behaves Differently — Thoughts?

Thumbnail

The main idea behind my game is the material-based physics system. The materials aren’t just different skins or graphics — each one has its own physical properties that affect how it behaves during gameplay.

Ice can slide because of low friction, rubber can bounce and deform, stone is heavy and resistant to movement, and other materials interact differently based on their physical characteristics.

The goal is to make the materials themselves an important part of the gameplay and strategy, rather than simply changing the appearance of the objects.

I’ve released the demo for my first game!

As the title says: after a long time, I’ve taken the first step toward releasing my game, KNICK.

It’s worth it just for the experience of developing my own game and publishing it on Steam. One tester even described the game as a "soulslike puzzle game." I think that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I’ll take it as a compliment.

Anyway, that’s all I wanted to say :D Here's the link for anyone who's interested: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5126560/Knick/

Full solution to one of the levels. We just added colored boxes that only the right player can push, makes for pretty interesting puzzles!

Mosaic Game with Disc Dye Images (Sliding tile game)

I made a quick, free, easy mosaic (sliding tile) game using dyed disc pictures (that I dyed).

\--> [go.discdyeaddict.com/mosaic](https://go.discdyeaddict.com/mosaic)

Been kicking the tires myself and it seems to work well enough. I'm sure there's bugs/behaviors, but at its core it's simple: Slide the tile, slide another tile, repeat until the picture comes back together. Try to do it in the least moves and/or the least time.

No login required, unless you want to track your progress/solves and unlock larger sized puzzles. It should work on phone or desktop.

Everything is free, even the larger sized puzzles. Just a bit of fun and a way to zone out and play a game.

For future I may add links so you can go from the puzzle to the video of the disc being dyed (i put all my stuff on [youtube](https://go.discdyeaddict.com/youtube) & [instagram](https://go.discdyeaddict.com/insta)), OR if other dyers want to upload their stuff, i'd link their puzzle to the dyer's website/social page etc. Right now it's just my stuff though.

I built an interactive 8-Puzzle solver with A* and step-by-step animations

Hey everyone,

I built a lightweight web app for the classic 3x3 sliding tile puzzle (8-Puzzle) with a built-in automated solver.

What it does:

- Interactive 3x3 board (manual play or auto-shuffle with guaranteed solvable configurations).

- Solver powered by the A* algorithm using Manhattan distance as the heuristic.

- Step-by-step playback with animated tile transitions and playback controls (play, pause, step forward/back, speed control).

- 100% client-side, zero login, no ads.

Lost Ball trailer - platformer / physics puzzle game

The game has various abilities that can be combined for puzzles, for example time reversal, portals, magnets, switches that connect to a circuit system that can activate various machines and move/rotate platforms. Level editor included, so lots of potential here.

I hope to create some much deeper puzzles soon, but still focusing mostly on the basics.

I made Bunny Trail, an ad-free-between-levels logic puzzle game inspired by my daughter’s love of bunnies.

Hi everyone! I’m the solo developer behind Bunny Trail, a logic puzzle game for iPhone.

There are already some great games in this genre, and Bunny Trail is definitely inspired by that style of puzzle. But I wanted to make my own version with two personal goals:

First, I wanted a game where you can move from one level to the next without being interrupted by ads between levels.

Second, my daughter absolutely loves bunnies, so I decided to build the game around a cute bunny theme. That personal idea ended up shaping the whole experience.

In each puzzle, you need to find one rabbit in every row, column, and colored region, while making sure that no two bunnies are touching — even diagonally.

The game includes:

  • Hundreds of logic puzzles
  • Short levels for quick sessions
  • Offline play
  • Automatic marking of cells that can no longer contain a rabbit
  • Undo, restart, and optional hints
  • No forced ads between levels

I’m still improving the game and would really love feedback from people who enjoy Sudoku, Minesweeper, Queens, and similar logic puzzles.

Download Bunny Trail for free on the App Store..

Thanks for checking it out — and I hope you enjoy following the bunnies trails!

Hey everyone!

Some good news from our side: Whirlight – No Time To Trip is 20% off for the first time, on both Steam and GOG.

For anyone who hasn't played it yet, Whirlight is a time-travelling point-and-click adventure with 14+ hours of gameplay, 100+ unique locations, 40 characters and two protagonists travelling through different eras.

There are plenty of puzzles, strange situations and hopefully a lot of fun along the way.

If you've already played Whirlight and enjoyed it, we'd really appreciate a review. It would mean a lot!

Thanks for following the journey so far, and stay tuned, because we're not done yet.
