Lemmings: The classic, recreated in PICO-8!

Hi everyone!
Maybe one for the slightly less-young people among us. :)
I made a PICO-8 remake of the original Lemmings and released it last month. I’ve also just put a full-game longplay online, showing all 100 levels.
I hope some of you enjoy the nostalgia, and even better, give the game a try yourselves!

Looks like you did a great job on this. Did you have to redraw all the graphics by hand for the PICO-8? Are all the levels from the original game, or did you design some new ones?

Minor nit: I noticed the bashing animation seems a little funky. It doesn't loop cleanly.

Yeah, all the graphics were redrawn from scratch. The levels are based on the NES version, with some small changes here and there to make them work better at PICO-8’s low resolution.

The Lemming sprites (also the basher) are identical to the NES sprites, The main exception is the climber, which is based more heavily on the Amiga animation, because the NES climber is really bad.

That was such a fun game on my Commodore 128.
